All I need to know about Sarah Palin
Lipstick 2012--Diary of an Election Cycle ^ | July 2009 | Jeanette Pryor

Posted on 08/27/2011 8:11:09 PM PDT by Mach9

On July 3rd, 2009, Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, figuratively nailing the following sign to her door: “Men Wanted For Hazardous Journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success.”

This most famous newspaper advertisement ever penned placed its original author, Sir Ernest Shackleton, in the position of selecting his Antarctic expeditionary crew from among 5,000 applicants. Comparing Sarah Palin to Shackleton might appear to stretch the limits of metaphorical license, even for an Irishwoman given to hyperbole. I contend that it pales when compared to giving a Marxist revolutionary with two weeks of Presidential experience the Peace Prize offered to Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sarah Palin will be the next President of the United States, and the secret to her success is a characteristic she shares with all true leaders, tenacity.

In that video with Bill O’Reily she seems awfully hesitant to say that all those here illegally must be deported. What’s with the whole “they must register” procedure ? Register for what ? To be deported in a timely manner ? Or to be safe from deportation because they admitted they’re here illegally ? She says “no amnesty” but what’s the point of the “registration” ?

I’d be happier if she said she’d deputize all local police officers to implement ICE procedures and fund bonuses for apprehending and deporting the 30 million citizens of other countries and their children via fines on employers who failed to take reasonable precautions prior to hiring.

There are 100,000 police in So Cal who would be happy to apprehend illegals for a $1,000 bonus per. I doubt it would take a year to round them all up and ship them back to Mexico, China, Canada, or wherever they are actually citizens. Apportion the actual cost of bonuses and deportation amongst those employers discovered during the year.

It is not a job for a quitter.

Had she stayed in office, she'd have had to declare bankruptcy. So right now, instead of saying, "It's not a job for a quitter," you'd be saying, "It's not a job for somebody who can't even avoid going bankrupt."

The Democrats knew they couldn't lose with the ethics lawsuit strategy, even though ALL the lawsuits were thrown out of court (though not before Palin had to come up with more than half a million dollars out of her own pocket to respond to them -- she was prevented from using a defense fund set up by her supporters), because they knew folks like you would say exactly what you're saying, or would have said had Palin stayed.

Wake up.

"The job our next president will face is not for the faint of heart and the future of the nation will be in the balance. It is not a job for a quitter."

Welllllllllllllllllllllll hotshot jonrick46, . . .

1. I've been reading lots around FR since about 1998 . . . maybe earlier . . . regardless of this incarnation's date.

2. I've studied Marxist globalism since about 1965.

3. I've studied Biblical prophecy since about 1960/1961.

4. I have loved ones who live in Wasilla, Alaska. The father and brothers have gone hunting with Tod Palin.

5. I've probably, on average, been at least 2-3 times better read on a much wider plate of issues than the average even well-read naysayer on a list of topics.

6. My conjectures about future probabilities over 4+ decades have tended to come true far more than not.

7. Regardless of the fact that GOP or DIMRATS . . . are ALL/BOTH put in the White House by script and design of the Marxist globalists in a complex good-cop/bad-cop charade . . . YES,

"The job our next president will face is not for the faint of heart and the future of the nation will be in the balance. It is not a job for a quitter."

8. That's simply quite true. Folks not realizing that are likely not fully awake or perhaps not fully recovered from their chronic MSM & TV induced lobotomies.

9. Folks who pretend that life is going to go on more or less as normal in this Nation and world are not dealing well with realities as they truly are. Even many agnostics and atheists sense that.

10. Folks who think that the USA is going to AVOID massive bloodshead, nukes, famine, chaos, anarchy, massive traitorousness, massive natural disasters . . . are not facing even basic ABUNDANTLY EVIDENT facts--and probably are quite ignorant of Biblical prophecy.

11. Folks who still believe that SElections continue to give WE THE PEOPLE a viable, true, functional chance to seriously influence the political direction of the Nation are not dealing well with the complex set of facts.

12. Folks who still believe that we have much of a Constitution left with any broadly functioning viability are not dealing well with the complex set of facts nor with the abundant evidence to the contrary.

13. Folks who still believe that the U.S. Senate has more than a very FEW true Americans or patriots left in it are not dealing well with the simple and abundant evidence to the contrary.

14. Folks who still think that a huge chunk of Federal court judges are NOT Marxist globalist shills are not dealing well with the simple and abundant evidence to the contrary.

15. Folks who still believe that massive abortions, massive encouragement of homosexuality and growing early termination of the elderly are not (in part) deliberate 'depopulation' schemes from hell are not dealing well with abundant evidence to the contrary.

16. Sooooooooooooooo, hot-shot--you go right ahead comforting yourself with how ignorant and uninformed I am. I'll go right ahead being as good a WATCHMAN ON THE WALL as I, by God's Grace can be. We'll see who's construct system has accounted the most accurately and the most robustly for the most variables.

So is deductive reasoning really your strong suit?/sarc My cockatoo has a better understanding of reality than you do. Take a deep breath, turn off whatever MSM you are addicted to and discover you just might attain the ability to see the forest for the trees! But then again, Karl Rove seems to have some magical sway over the weak minded.

You folks are incredible - incredibly naive, incredibly ignorant, incredibly apt to drink Kool-Aid, incredible useful tools for the Left.

Why don't you do some research on the exact set of events that led to her resignation and the reasoning behind it. Unlike the typical politician, holding the reins of power wasn't such a driving force that she was willing to damage the State of Alaska and her people in order to remain Governor.

It's the ignorant and naive that will help Obama and his America-destroying cronies remain in power - you might as well plan on pulling the lever for him if you continue to spew the left-wing drivel without research.

Free Republic used to be a forum where a lot of intelligent folks did research and expressed well-thought opinions. You guys are evidence that we have a lot of lazy folks who want to sound smart, but are too lazy/ignorant to actually do other than restate other folks' opinions - and you probably don't understand what the other folks said to boot.

Part of me would love to see her in . . . for the ‘fun’ of it.

Part of me would love to see her in . . . because I greatly enjoy her personality and publicized values.

Part of me would love to see her in just on the chance that she really might be born for such a time as this and used by God to upset the globalists well crafted treasonous schemes.

Alas . . . I don’t think anyone gets in without being under the oligarchy’s Storm Trooper thumb.

Going to be interesting . . . virtually regardless.

If they trash OThuga ahead of time and run Palin vs Shrillery . . . what a cat-fight that would be! That would take a LOT of attention away from other, more pressing traumas.

The facts of the matter are that it will either be Sarah Palin or four more years of obama.

I believe the naysayers about Sarah Palin are simply trolls

Of course you can believe whatever you decide to. But, some day you will have to deal with Palin's baggage - that being her very large set of negatives that she has to overcome to win.

You can dismiss those negatives with cries of "liberal slime!!" but they are still there. And there remain concerns for many of us who do see through the left tactic.

So Sarah has a LOT of work to do of a sort that no candidate has ever faced, in my opinion. My question is why is she waiting to get started on that? My strong suspicion is that she knows it's going to take more than a year to turn all the negatives.

In the Old Testament and in the New, it was always the individual that God could use to get things done, not a committee.

In the media we have Rush Limbaugh doing things; in politics it’s Gov. Palin, the non-politician. In business it’s been Steve Jobs changing the world we live in.

What more can I say?

As to research on the exact set of events that led to her resignation, I think the courts’ decisions speak volumes. Not a single frivolous, vindictive lawsuit stuck, but they all needed litigation; and litigating costs—not just dollars, but time. Her departure left her free to raise the cash to fight the suits, left Alaska in the hands of her handpicked Lt. Gov., and left the Alinsky-led Left flat-footed and poorer, unable to manufacture further Palin- atrocities-while-in-office. By removing herself from office, she took the full brunt of the Left’s assaults, while taking the heat off her administration. Which was the wiser choice—to remain CEO of a state while squandering her own and staff’s time as well as her families’ very limited finances simply responding to the Left’s puppeteers, or fighting the charges against her on her own dime and time? Maybe I am naive, but I can’t help believing that it took far more guts, not to mention a perfectly honed sense of civic and personal responsibility, to take the heat out of the kitchen and stand alone than it would to maintain her power-source and share her persecution with the very successful administration she’d built.

I did hear her say clearly “you deport them”.

But I also understand your points. I'm not giving her a free pass on this. But in her defense, she's not an official candidate yet, so she most likely is still working on a more detailed point by point response to this issue.

Having said that, I still hear more direct answers on all kinds of issues from “non- candidate Palin”, than I do from most of those people running.

It's great that we actually have a fairly detailed response from a candidate that we can actually dissect. Where's the detailed responses from the rest of the candidates? I can't wait till she jumps in. She's gonna make most of the rest of them look very uninformed on the issues.

Democrats and Republicrats are both justifiably scared to death of this lady.

Is there any other apparent heir who could dawn and convincingly wear the Reagan Mantle/Aura?

Palin is easy to picture as a near perfect President, and that picture has the plutocracy/plutarchy in a panic.

Many great Freepers have previously in this thread logically dismantled the”quitter” meme.

By I'm curious about this comment: “She starts and quits when convenient, sucking the O2 out of those who are really running campaigns.”

Doesn't that say more about the candidates running than the one who is not? Does it not imply that those candidates have lukewarm support at best if the mere presence of an unannounced candidate can create such an impact on their campaigns?

It's almost as if people are waiting for someone else to enter..........
