Reminds me of an a-hole manager I worked for. He frowned on people taking vacation unless it was a day or two at a time and not like a week or two weeks. Of course he takes two weeks vacation and goes to Martha’s Vineyard for it ! Of course, he was a liberal democrat and full of himself. Two birds of a feather !

Email just received:

How could this be??

At the time Bo was acquired, thought I heard the girls had full responsibility for caring for him. Over $100,000 for someone else to care for him? A separate jet for him and his care taker? Air Force One not large enough?

BO’S VACATION IN MAINE
I guess since they had to swallow their pride and use the Gulfstream there just wasn’t enough room for the dog and one other person on Air Force One.
Did you know that President Barack Hussein Obama flew Bo, their dog, in on a separate smaller jet to Maine for their vacation? I wonder if that sets well with all the unemployed, hurting, U S citizens who can’t afford food, but we can pay for this.
The above is true. I Googled “Bo the dog flying to Maine “ and got 76,700 references verifying this.

Michelle Malkin: Just Plane Crazy: Obama’s Dog Flies to Vacation on Separate Jet.

Doug Powers:
The Obamas arrived at their vacation spot in Maine , and the local paper, the Morning Sentinel, described the scene:
The president was the first to walk onto the tarmac, dressed casually in a pale blue Oxford shirt and khakis. A few minutes later, the first lady, dressed in black caprice, a tank-top and sandals, walked onto the runway. Shortly afterward, Malia and Sasha joined their parents.
Baldacci and his wife, Karen, presented the family with gift bags full of Maine-made goodies, including baskets made by the Passamaquoddy Tribe, popcorn from Little Lad’s Bakery in East Corinth , iconic L.L. Bean bags, University of Maine ice hockey hats, and an assortment of other Maine foods and books. Karen Baldacci said the bags for Malia and Sasha contained one loon toy and one chickadee toy that sound their natural calls.
Arriving in a small jet before the Obama’s was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U S Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president’s personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with Baldacci. The president, who said the rest of us are going to have to sacrifice to get out of these hard economic times, let his dog fly on his own plane? Not enough room on Air Force One (a Gulfstream on this trip) for a Portuguese water dog and Reggie Love?
My dog saw this story and wants his own jet now, too.
Oh, by the way, Mr. Love, Bo’s handler, is paid $102,000 a year to take care of him.
What side of the ballot will you mark in November ? This man is taking the nation for every cent he can and then some.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS???

(BO - the other dog)

Yeah, I had a boss like that too. He treated paydays like a drive by shooting, cussed and faunched over coming up with the money to make payroll. Then he hies out the door to his private condo with his latest hoochie behind his wife’s back, where I had to have a $1200 crate of wine delivered every month and had to make sure the maids got paid.

They’ve even tried congratulating him for “working in golf during his working vacation.”

LOL!

The MSM likes to compare these vacations to Reagan, GHWB, and GWB’s vacations. However they leave out that these Presidents spent their vacation time on their own residential properties. Yes there were expenses such as developing the living quarters for their Secret Service details but those were one time expenses with on going maintenance costs.

Obama’s vacations away from “home” incur huge costs for logistics, planning, temporary housing for staff and SS details, as well as all of the background checks on the places they visit for shopping and dining. Then throw in the costs for planning multiple vacations sites as backups until an actual decision is made on where and when to go.

The skid mark’s whole worthless life is a vacation... from reality.

And to think that “The Evil Bush” swore off golf during his presidency by declaring that it was inappropriate for him to play golf while the nation was at war.

The team that was smart enough to deceive the country with his slick campaign should have been smart enough to make him tone down the extravagant life style.

They are poking sticks in the eyes of all who are hurting because of their incompetent leadership.

The snarky White House response of asking about Speaker John Boehner’s handicap was a disaster.

Speaker John Boehner’s handicap is Harry Ried.

I don't intend to be sarcastic, but does Obama own a home, or has he always “relied on the kindness of strangers”?

I’m thinking Hussein’s foreign handlers meet with him on his vacations to implement anti-American policy.

but does Obama own a home . . .?

Well, he apparently owns property with a house on it in Chicago. But his home could well be in Kenya.

“The kindness of strangers” has paved the way for Obama his entire life. No one with mediocre grades at Occidental College would have been allowed into Columbia unless someone powerful intervened. No one would have been admitted to Harvard Law School without graduating magna cum laude without someone powerful intervening. Someone powerful intervened to get him on staff as a lecturer at the University of Chicago. Someone powerful intervened to get his wife her unique position at the U of C hospital. It would appear that Tony Rezko intervened to at least expand the property lines for Obama on his house in Hyde Park. It seems unlikely that the Obamas saved enough to actually buy that house, given their prolific ways even before they reached the White House. Remember Obama spent the upfront money for his first book before he had even written a word. When he was with the Miner law firm in Chicago, I have heard from people familiar with his time there that he was allowed, if not encouraged to work on his book rather than try to practice law. The home in Hyde Park seems odd...and the fact that the family Obama is more interested in going back to Chicago for dinner at a restaurant or pizza suggests that they have no real affinity for the city. He can't even name his favorite White Sox player. If it is true that he and Michelle both voluntarily gave up their law licenses in Illinois, I would conjecture that is either because they lied about some aspect of their past, such as other names or that they also passed the bar by the “kindness of strangers”.
And we must also include the “kindness of strangers” that allowed him to open sealed divorce papers against Ryan when he ran against him for Illinois Senate. And we must also remember the “kindness of strangers” that disqualified Alice Palmer from the ballot when he ran against her in Illinois. His whole political career in Illinois relied on the “kindness of strangers” to eliminate the competition in the most despicable manner...all the while the Obamas seem to float above the scrutiny of the press.
There is no Obama without the “kindness of strangers” and and an even stranger totally irrational support from the press.

Obama and his people are not politically stupid. They know the “optics” of their actions and words.

The more arrogant things Obama does and the more arrogant statements we get from him and his staff, the more worried I get.

There are only two choices:

1) Obama has given up and is just “riding it out” until January 2013.

2) Obama has a diabolical plan that keeps him in office for a second (or more) term. The only thing that can make that happen would be something catastrophic.

“Over $100,000 for someone else to care for him?”

In fairness, Reggie Love also frequently plays basketball with POTUS, so he’s really doing 2 jobs for the $102K a year he’s paid, so taxpayers actually are getting a huge bargain...

Remember, they allegedly own a very nice home in Chicago? That was the one that is associated with some sort of shady real estate deal.

They never go there, which I find odd. I think most of us might have a lot less of a problem with "We want to spend a week (or a weekend) at our home in Chicago."

Nixon and Reagan went to their homes in California. Carter went to Plains. GHW Bush went to Maine. GW Bush went to Texas. Clinton didn't have a home, but I think we all knew that. We were also living in a very different time, economically.

I've come to the conclusion that Obama does not have the concept of home, the way most presidents, and most of us, do.

They say he's "tone deaf." I don't know that is even an accurate term. I'd say, rather, that he knows about as much, in a real sense, about the real lives of ordinary Americans as I do about European royalty. How can you possibly be "tuned in" to something so completely foreign to you?

Speaker Boner’s handicap is Speaker Boehner IMHO.
