Houston, TX – A federal court judge has delayed the hearing for embattled Houston Veterans Cemetery Director Arleen Ocasio. The hearing has been rescheduled for Friday, August 26, 2011 and the judge has ordered that Ocasio appear before the court.
Ocasio has rightly been under fire for not allowing the word “God” to be used during funeral proceedings. Ocasio has denied this but according to Houston veteran’s activist John Faulk, the plaintiffs in this case have twenty-five sworn affidavits from families proving Ocasio’s prejudicial behavior.

How can she stop families from using the word “God”? Does she have spies attending every service? What’s to stop a pastor or family from using the word? I’d use it anyway. What could she possibly do? Unbury the dead? There’s surely no law authorizing her to issue such unconstitutional dictates. Maybe she should go back to her native country and practice her hatred of God and America there.

I’m still trying to get an update. Friday’s proceedings were closed door and as far as I know there was no presser afterwards. I’m still following and will post more as it becomes available.
