Bachmann would not enter the room until the lights had been changed (What's that all about?)

OK ... then she's off my list.

If she has migraines, something as simple as dimming the lights can keep them in check. If you’ve ever been on stage, such as at a political event, theater, etc, you would know how stage lights can be overwhelming at times. I can’t imagine what it is like if you have a migraine.

Well, she did introduce that Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act.
To: Bigtigermike
How many candidates does it take to change a light bulb?
To: Charles Henrickson
:-)
They replaced those new fangled bulbs with incandescents.

Well, when I was speaking to a couple hundred people in Texas for the first time, asked that the stage lights be dimmed. Could not see the audience they were so bright. And I told the crew that,
hey we are in Texas now and some of these guys might be packing. And of course quite a few Texans in the crowd said, yep we are.
Did not get shot, so the presentation must not have been that bad. :>

Yes, and ladies of a certain age don’t look so good in harsh lighting.
I should know.

Agreed!
IF she had a migraine (or experienced the aura that precedes a migraine-—a visual or other sense related warning that one is on the way), she’s to be saluted for even going on, whether the lights were dimmed or not.

Must have something to do with her migraines? I understand that intense lighting can aggravate them.

Any person who suffers from migraines knows that CDLs increase the risk of getting one. I would bet she had the bulbs changed to incandescent bulbs and the lights dimmed in order to reduce the risk of a migraine. My daughter gets migraines and can’t handle the light from the curly bulbs.

I used to have migraines and any kind of light made it worse; it hurts badly!
Eventually I quit having them by using biofeedback.
Voluntarily or voluntarily, vomiting was another option.
To: hummingbird
How did the biofeedback work?

I’m puzzled by all this vitriol towards Michele Bachmann. She’s been a warrior in the spirit of the tea party movement throughout her career.
