Must have something to do with her migraines? I understand that intense lighting can aggravate them. My room mate in college suffered from rare but very intense Migraine headache. One day when I entered the apartment he said, "Go away, do not turn on any lights or make any noise or I will kill you." I studied at the library that day. He was actually a very civil and gentle individual.
