This is a must-read article! The author is saying what we all know, but are afraid to say in the USA.
They are an absolute deadweight upon society, because they contribute nothing yet cost the taxpayer billions. Liberal opinion holds they are victims, because society has failed to provide them with opportunities to develop their potential.
Most of us would say this is nonsense. Rather, they are victims of a perverted social ethos, which elevates personal freedom to an absolute, and denies the underclass the discipline tough love which alone might enable some of its members to escape from the swamp of dependency in which they live. No mention of God or clergy at all, naturally. It's educators, politicians and bobbies that can fix things...right. Aren't they the people who got the UK into this mess? That is what the article seems to say to me.
Well, apparently it hasn’t been for lack of throwing money at them; money from the “rich” - but, they still hate the “rich” and want it ALL, after throwing what they’ve been given down the old toilet hole because it wasn’t “enough”.

A good description of the modern-day, touchy feely, politically correct, kumbaya-singing, kinder and gentler society.
Getting sick and tired about how life is tough for kids running around in over priced $200 sweats and $100 running shoes. Heck, children alive during the fighting of WWII and WWI never ever complained this badly.
