Why not post it here? It's just a blog.
Honorable mention: George Dubya Bush whose amazing combination of tax cuts and out of control spending helped to kick start the copious bleeding of red ink.
I understand the frustration but Boehner had three major obstacles - Obama could veto any legislation, Harry Reid wasn’t going to pass anything like CC&B and Mitch McConnell is from the old school of compromising to get a deal. Faced with that, Boehner obviously knew he couldn’t get his way. Yet he still got CC&B passed and expressed his wish that that could, indeed be law. Unfortunately, too much else was stacked against him.
True financial reform can’t happen until the GOP has all three houses. Clearly, Obama and Reid are going to continue on their socialist tax-the-rich-to-pay-for-our-spending bent until they are kicked out of office. Until then, Boehner just had to swallow hard and get what he could.
In the next Congress, if they’d like to find someone to be Speaker who is tougher than Boehner, go right ahead. I thought he and Cantor did as good a job of standing up to Obama and Reid as could be done without letting default get tied around their party’s neck for the next election.
Need a creative JPG image to go with this..... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED WITH the Obummer and a dow crashing sign.....
>>> Obama Mission Accomplished: United States Downgraded For The First Time Ever <<<
With all due respect, NO, he didn’t (re: Mission Accomplished)
(1) “Solid B+” a year after he took office yields a new meaning;
(2) Obama said just recently that he’s not half way done yet.
