When you get right to it, all the arguments of racism and sexism and building deeper debt all boils down to one thing. The liberal/progressive/socialist argument is that you, sir, who works 60 hours a week to make as much money as you can are no better than the fat-ass who sits on their couch all day and whines that the government isn’t doing enough for him. The liberal promises he will take the money away from the hard worker and give it to the slothful because it’s “unfair” that the hard worker should have more.
All this talk about “the rich” and paying their “fair share” is the same sort of bigotry your letter-writer has against you. If you don’t consider yourself “rich”, you should license government to steal from the ones who are and if you disagree, you’re anti-poor. See how this works?

This is a very revealing viewpoint that confirms the left’s intention to keep blacks on the “liberal plantation” with condescending fearmongering.
Gotcha on that! I grew up in the inner city during the 50s and 60s when racism was still going full-tilt. Fortunately for me, my parents were not racists and the Blacks in the community were counted as neighbors and friends. During the race riots of the 60s, some folks got taken up in the mob mentality and turned against their white neighbors and friends, but on my street, the Blacks (who outnumbered whites about 5-1) would not allow us to be targeted and provided a modicum of protection. It taught me that the value of a man is in his heart and mind and not in the color of his skin. It also helped open my eyes to the professional racists who simply will not allow everyone to be assimilated into the Human Race, but insist on leveraging the difference between races to their own sick personal/political advantage. Children of God unite!
