I don’t know about the rest of you but I’ve recognized this for a long time.
Like the friend who says he’s your friend to get at your money, or husband or wife or whatever.

Socialism in not and end but a means to an end - Marxism.
The MSM in the United States has firmly established itself as an enemy of our liberty and an enabler of those who seek to enslave us. It is time to treat it as such.
"What passes for the "right" in Europe is just another form of socialism.
They called this guy "right wing" saying he was part of a Swedish Nazi forum.
But Nazi means National Socialist, and nothing like what the right in the USA would be."Here, the right is the home of those who believe in the Constitution as the law of the land.
It is the opposite of the lawless liberals, socialists, Marxists, communists, Bolsheviks and other assorted Democrats.
That a "right wing" socialist in Europe goes off the deep end, and attacks "left wing" socialists is neither surprising nor new."
This is not his main point, but a first point, necessary to understand before we can go on...
I don’t remember who said it, but a favorite quote of mine is: “The problem with Capitalism is capitalists; the problem with Socialism is Socialism.”
I don’t think it is a secret that socialism is a tool used by the political class to centralize power into the hands of a few, or a dictator.
It is good to point out that in Europe, their definition of right-wing is different and that a right-winger is just another flavor of socialist. I think that may be because Europe long-ago rejected the revolutionary American idea after a couple of bad experiences with similar-but-not-identical revolutions, then adopted the Marxist idea so completely mid-19th century, that they don’t even consider the American idea in their political paradigm, as the author points out.
The function of socialism or liberalism runs far deeper than than as a political tool of would-be dictators.
Excellent article. Even better discussion posts. Worth reading.
That was the best and most well-made point of the article, in my opinion.
"Class envy was the only aspect of socialism missing in the article. Class envy is the opiate of the masses that are lazy and lack a sense of personal responsibility. They know that they are failures but can not admit it to themselves so they lash out against the successful."
“Socialism” is the cloying sweet coating on the poison pill of tyranny.
Sadly, though, I already knew, and thus have advocated repeatedly for the outlawing of Communists and the imprisonment of the same, indefinitely.
Unregulated government is worse than unregulated buyers and sellers in a free market.
Socialism is the fraudulent bargain that we each can live at the expense of others, even when it requires coercion to do so. Christians should know which of the Ten Commandments they will violate when they assume they have the right to seize the wealth of others to redistribute.
But it goes deeper than that. Economist Joseph Salerno in his essay [1], Postscript: Why a Socialist Economy is “Impossible” quoted Ludwig von Mises, who demonstrates, once and forever, that, under socialist central planning, there are no means of economic calculation and that, therefore, socialist economy itself is “impossible” —not just inefficient or less innovative or conducted without benefit of decentralized knowledge, but really and truly and literally impossible.”
Having central planning attempt to manage an economy is like trying to measure the height of the waves in a lake from a power boat circling in its own wake. Worse, while one central planning committee is pondering rule making and setting levels of benefits and subsidies, it must do so even though other central planners down the street have introduced their own economic distortions due to previous government intrusions.
Even though many people know this deep down inside, I think is a lack of faith in liberty and in other people that induces them to keep returning to using socialism to attempt to solve life’s problems. Yet as Mark Levin points out, it never has worked, and as Salarno and Mises prove, it never can work.
And on its way to not working, everyone who finds themselves under the control of the ruling elite find that socialism gives them misery, suffering and death. The only people who support such a system are the true believers who cling to the hope it will allow them to live at the expense of others. In the end, like in Cambodia after the Killing Fields were exhausted, there are no “others” left.

Every social experiment from Walden to New Harmony, IN, to Russia to whatever has failed. To me, the reason for failing is because people want to improve their lot in life and socialism cannot exist with that goal. Socialism strives to support "the average". Obozo's "level playing field" is the idea of averaging out the achievers with the loafers. What scares me, however, is that there are so many stupid voters in this country who put such a do-nothing person into the White House.
Using European definitions of “right wing” and “left wing” puts them side by side on the scale that meassures from tyranny on one end to anarchy on the other end. The Constitution, as written, put the U.S. government in the middle, weighing and balancing freedom and control. Anarchy is not good for small children; tyranny is not good for adults. Skousen’s book “The 5,000 Year Leap” explains it nicely.
It isn't, of course, and we need to step up & explain in clear terms how truly mischievous it is! Obama is the principle exponent of the malady in the world today. Our work is cut out for us, here and now. We need to respond to his demagoguery with the power of Truth.
William Flax
"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. That's who we're dealing with. And there's only one way this can end.Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power.
What pure power means you will understand presently.
We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites.
The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.
Power is not a means; it is an end.
One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.
The object of persecution is persecution.
The object of torture is torture.
The object of power is power".-George Orwell - 1984
