Congress: The Ultimate "Epic Fail!"
ConservativeAmerican.org ^ | 8/2/11 | Peter Andrew

Posted on 08/02/2011 11:34:25 AM PDT by Peter Andrew Conservative

The DeadStream Media will suffocate us with reports of "compromise" and success, and "real budget cuts." It's all bull. The news should be about sell-outs, fake "cuts" that actually increase expenses and the ultimate EPIC FAIL!

The republicans failed. They let us down again. Just like they always do when push comes to shove. They say they only had 1/3 of the federal government, but it was 1/3 that could have said "No" and didn't.

The newly elected Conservative American Tea Partiers failed. The DeadStream Media wants them to think they won. How is this a victory? Downgrade is on the way for the credit rating, the debt ceiling was raised, and federal government spending will increase by $7-Trillion dollars over the next 10 years!! If that is "victory," I'd hate to see what failure looks like.

The Socialist-democrats failed. Once again they will resort to lies and their bedfellows in the DeadStream Press to claim victory. They did NOT cut spending as they will claim. They did NOT prevent an economic disaster as they will claim. They may have delayed it for a few months, but nothing more.

All parties. Both houses of Congress. And the White House. They all failed. This is the ultimate Epic Fail!

So what would victory have looked like for us? For one thing, the automatic increases in federal spending should have been eliminated. That would have prevented us from increasing spending by $7-Trillion over the next ten years.

Next, there should have been $4-trillion in REAL, actual cuts in spending... above and beyond the elimination of scheduled increases. That means elimination of entire government departments such as the Department of Education.

Finally, just as the Conservative Americans were able to do in Wisconsin, all of this should be accomplished with NO tax increases. Already 'Harry Reider and the Half Black Prince' in the White House are promising to screw America with big new tax increases. And the tax hikes won't just be on the "wealthiest" as they also like to claim.

We should toss all these bums out of office and demand term-limits for congress.

Perhaps "we the people" should demand the authority to toss congress in jail if they can't even do the one thing they are supposed to do: pass a budget! It's been more than 800 days and still no budget.

From budgets to deficits and debt ceilings, these people are epic failures and there should be consequences for them.

Congress only continues to fail because "we the people" allow them to do so. Enough is enough. I'm so glad, on a day like today, that (our website) we're not called "Republican American." The republicans have failed us for decades.

To prevent the demise of our great nation, if we still can, Conservative Americans must unite and act. Term limits, a balanced budget amendment, REAL cuts in spending and no taxe hikes. Let's grow up and live within our means and maintain the values of freedom and liberty that this great nation was founded on.

Congress should hang its collective head in shame.

Beware The "Super Congress" - excellent read.

McConnell sold out the country and the U.S. Constitution in
one single flush down the drain.

Excerpts:

"The creation of a 12 person elitist panel of lawmakers is absurd and is just meant to fast track more awful legislation through the Washington meat grinder."

"Legislation approved by the Super Congress -- which some on Capitol Hill are calling the "super committee" -- would then be fast-tracked through both chambers, where it couldn't be amended by simple, regular lawmakers, who'd have the ability only to cast an up or down vote. With the weight of both leaderships behind it, a product originated by the Super Congress would have a strong chance of moving through the little Congress and quickly becoming law. A Super Congress would be less accountable than the system that exists today"

A "RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION" Campaign should be started immediately by PRIMARYING and REMOVING all those who have SIGNED ON to this atrocity on the taxpayers of America!

Sums it up here. The House contols the purse. The "Tea Party" had the House that amttered and sold out. I refuse to allow these cretins to pass responsibility. They voted for it and they own it.

Received an email that Ruger has developed a new pistol called Congress. It doesn’t work and you can’t fire it.

I expect the Democrats and the Muslim Marxist to screw us, but its really hard to take when the Republicans and the Tea Party sell out too.

This country is done for. Bankrupt. The United States is over. Soon the only things that will matter are food and water; money will just be worthless paper. I hope the coming Civil War II holds those responsible for this mess to account, and that the USA breaks up into smaller states that respect individual liberty and limited government the way the Founding Fathers intended.

The only true way to stop this spiraling never ending debt is to stop the Federal Reserve because all raising the debt ceiling does is buy borrowed time by borrowing more fiat currency loaned out to us from the fed.

‘We should toss all these bums out of office and demand term-limits for congress.’

Its almost enough to make ones head pop. On one hand he thinks Congress is an epic failure yet he’s going to trust them to write a superfluous term limits law. Perhaps this is why we continue getting the Congress we deserve?

I will agree Congress is failing and most need to be sent packing. This is exactly why Americans must be engaged in the political process. We have the power right now to vote them in and out right now. Yet so few care to inform themselves and vote. Term limits are for a stupid and lazy people.

Nothing about our economic situation will improve and instead, given the kind of diluted bill that WAS passed, our situation will just get worse. However, with the MSM falsely naming the Tea Party as victors in the process... Liberals will feel more justified in maligning them.

They don't get it.

Tea Party representation in the house are Americans duly elected to public office by OTHER AMERICANS!!! There's no getting around THAT or making it into some kind of extra Constitutional anomaly or abuse of the system.

The House contols the purse.
///
agreed. the 1/3 argument is nonsense, especially when we had the leverage of the debt ceiling.
...funny, the Dems didn’t have any problem INCREASES spending, in 2007, when they didn’t control the WH...
= = =

So what would victory have looked like for us? For one thing, the automatic increases in federal spending should have been eliminated. That would have prevented us from increasing spending by $7-Trillion over the next ten years.
///
we had the Dems over the debt ceiling barrel. we could have forced THEM to cut freebies to THEIR base.

now, the triggers will put US over the Defense barrel, gutting our Military unless we agree to raise taxes, etc.

and worse, the new bill allows congress to “deem” the 2012 and 2013 budgets to pass, has built in 5% increases (which they then can get credit for “cutting” part of, allows tax cuts and AMT to expire, and more.

When Mark Levine, Rush, Jim DeMint, Heritage Foundation, Club for Growth, and many rock solid conservatives scream “NO”,
and
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid say “yes”,
it’s not a good bill for America.

Barbara Boxer PRAISED McConnell.
we ALL know what it means, when the libs praise a GOPer.
it means we’ve been had.

and Boehner himself, broke his 72 hour posting pledge. why?

now, we will enter 2013, with a 17 trillion dollar debt, downgraded AAA with increased interest costs, double digit inflation and unemployment.
if we win the WH, we will need Houdini, not Reagan!

...and yet still people are teling us what a great victory this was... and telling us to read the Bill.
when the more we read it, the worse it is for America.

Obama INCREASED spending by 40%. we cut that increase,
by 2%. wow. what a victory !

we have sold our children into serfdom.

I like the idea of throwing that bunch of treacherous thugs from Washington in jail, legalize the Constitution and restore the Republic.

Hmmmmm, the next question to answer would be how to expedite those actions.

....sorry, I was day dreaming.
