LOL “dumb blonde”! Up here in the “urban” Ohio Valley we call that a bi+chslap, and you landed it perfectly! Yeah, when he started talking shrink wrap I thought, “Oh my Lord! I can just see this yahoo vacuum sealing raw meat and putting in the cupboard and being pissed the next day when he notices it's rancid!” And who eats headcheese when there is plenty of tasty food properly stored? Isn't the point of prepping so my kids don't have to catch and eat rodents?

I’m told headcheese can be good when made right. Personally, I’d rather add that part of the pig in with the sausage meat. Or just simmer it a bit and feed it to the chickens.

What I truly don't get is why one person who says he/she is prepared (by hunting, gardening, etc.) would knock another person who is trying to be prepared by buying MREs or dehydrated food ... whatever they are storing. I say hats off to anyone who is prepared, regardless of how you got there.

I'm not going to criticize or be amused by someone who harvests a deer with a crossbow, just because I prefer to do it with a recurve or compound bow. We both got our deer and ethical hunters should support one another. Same goes for preppers.

Being the dumb blonde that I am, I think I finally figured out what old blowhard was trying to convey.
