...Already, the Senate has shown signs that it will continue to defer its duty to act, pre-emptively deriding the Houses plan to avoid a debt default. If Senators actually refuse to pass the Budget Control Act, the only serious legislative proposal to end the debt limit stalemate, it will illustrate an unprecedented negligence by lawmakers. For the past few months, Senators have dithered over tax hikes and budget gimmicks. Voters and credit markets are tired of the charade its time for the Senate to step up to the plate.

Right now, and for the last 20 minutes or so, the Senate chamber is empty on CSPAN2 while on CSPAN Reid, Schumer, Murray, et al are in the hall continuing their shrill mantra of Tea Party boogeymen. I'm leaning more and more to holding the line and doing nothing with these scoundrels and their scare tactics and business as usual.
If it ain't broke, break it anyway - THEN fix it!
