Electric car parking only? With a charging outlet?
Myself | 7/28 | Myself

Posted on 07/28/2011 3:38:10 PM PDT by cableguymn

Saw this today when I stopped at a Goodwill on my route. (half price day for kids stuff. well worth it) It's right next to the handicap spots right up at the front. I parked there. My car, while gas powered, also requires it's electrical system to operate.

What is even crazier. Most people who shop at goodwill can NOT afford a plug in electric. You can't even BUY a plug in electric in Minnesota right now.

The manager was at the check out counter so I asked "hey, where is the free gas pump??" she looked at me funny and said "The what?" I asked again adding "I saw the free charging outlet for electric cars and I was wondering where the free gas was for my car"

She was not amused.

This is another leftist fad that will pass like a kidney stone once the Left is put back out to pasture where they belong.

I park in them anyway. They can’t fight my disabled plate.

Better yet, who is paying for the electricity, the store or the taxpayers?

I do to! I stay out of handicap and expecting mother ones. But hybrid/electric car/employee of the month. I don’t care. I’m parking there.

was it in St.Paul? if so, maybe it’s so the city can come do daily inspections making sure no lead toys are being donated to Goodwill.

The store it sounded like.

I should mention this store is in Rogers Minnesota. about 30 miles out from Minneapolis. So, if you drove out from the liberal mecca in a Leaf. you WOULD need to recharge before you could return home.

Just slap one of Dennis Miller’s “Hybrid” bumper stickers on the back of your gas guzzler and BAM: Priority parking!

Cool. Parking spots I can plug in the block heater for my diesel F-350 in the winter!

A charity spending money on that should have it’s board fired.

"Parking spots I can plug in the block heater for my diesel F-350 in the winter!"

That is a great idea. Thank you. Those block heaters can suck up some juice. In the winter we used to keep our F-350 plugged in until we needed to go somewhere. Now we wait and plug it in about 3 hours before the truck is needed

Another good idea is to plug in a ceramic heater while waiting for the wife to do the shopping. I hope this hybrid spot with a plug idea catches on at the grocery store.
