Exactly what does that mean???? I have never heard anything from any Tea Party person condemning abortion of gay rights. Sure, the average voter who identifies with the Tea Party movement is usually pro-life, etc, but no one from any Tea Party website, organization, rally etc, has ever issued a statement condemning those issues. In fact, I’ve seen the opposite - Tea Party “officials” who make it a point NOT to discuss these issues & do as much as possible to distance themselves from them.
The whole point of the Tea Party is that the purse strings for social issues disappear. No more money for abortions, no more money for governmental control of social issues of all kinds. No need to get specific when you take the hands out of the cookie jar. I understand and appreciate the fact that the Tea Party(a grass roots political movement if there ever was one)is all of us who have no need to talk of social issues instead of money issues, because they are one in the same.
If you want to make abortion illegal, the Tea Party is not about that specifically. Is the Tea Party therefor worthless and to be spat upon?
