The Hunt for possible second gunman in Norway post by our ABCs [Australia] Europe correspondent Rachael Brown (Updated July 24, 2011 15:15:55) is clear:
Key details:
92 dead, may rise to 98 Ring-wing Christian extremist charged His farm searched for explosives Possibility of a second gunman
Traditionally, the ABC plays down religion when Islam is linked to a massacre. Now, curiously, messengers see a Right-wing Christian extremist charged his alleged faith and politics, in bold type. But did journalists and reporters jump too early?
[ ]
In sum, then, an organic-loving fan of trance music, with a penchant for progressive shows such as Dexter, liberal Americas critically-acclaimed HBO series based around the life of a sympathetic serial killer, is a Right-wing Christian extremist?
Indeed, it appears as though the ABC has uncritically embraced one anti-Christian narrative, without thought.
Now to The Washington Post with Foreign Policy:
A Facebook account linked to Breivik cites his favorite books as John Stuart Mills On Liberty, Franz Kafkas The Trial, and George Orwells 1984, among others. Another interest is hunting. It was not possible to confirm if the Twitter and Facebook accounts and posts belonged to the suspect in the shooting.
If we can confirm the Twitter account (cited by the ABC) and his Facebook details, Anders Behring Breivik the Christian fundamentalist was a very big fan of John Stuart Mill.
The Christian fundamentalist didnt list the Bible? Instead, a text by a godless philosopher? Curious, indeed.

“When in doubt, go with Occam’s Razor.... real life is more complicated than that.”
This may turn out to be a right wing loon attack exactly as you suggest.
My 12 point case above need more evidence to prove an Islamic connection, like did he go to Pakistan in the lasts years.
Guess the biggest cause of suspicion for me is how analogous the Norway attack is to the Oklahoma City bombing.
Reporter Jayna David argues persuasively that the OKC bombing was percieved as a right wing kook attack, but in fact had a connection to Islamic terror.
Makes me wonder if AQ is repeating a proven scenario. http://www.jaynadavis.com/highlights.html
Here is a relevant quote from Jayna Daivis page documenting how AQ sought an alliance with McVeigh:
“Islamic sleeper agents in the U. S. are actively enlisting non-Arabs, non-Muslims, and disaffected Americans of all ethnicities to carry out future operations. These homegrown militants are known throughout the intelligence community as “lily white” recruits.
Jayna is arguably the first journalist to publicly document this merging, unholy alliance between polar opposite extremists. Her book exclusively features a classified prior warning that prognosticated in the spring of 1995 that an “Iran-sponsored Islamic attack” would likely take place on U.S. soil, executed by “domestic” operatives.”http://www.jaynadavis.com/highlights.html
Point taken and hard to contradict.
Im sure the Left loves this guy in the edited form. Turns out he was a fan of Darwin too, so they might want to invent a new myth. He loved trance music too.
