Often the Left is so predictable.
While Norway mourns the deaths of the 92 (so far) shooting victims, kook bloggers at FireDogLake, Democratic Underground, and elsewhere are already labelling the alleged killer to be "right wing." This meme appears to have started with a comment made by a Norwegian political science professor who speculated that the shooter might be "right wing."

Ping!
We could use about 435 of her in congress.
Roger that!
I fear he may well be some incarnation of right wing relative to Norway’s issues and given he’s written volumes it won’t be easy to ignore
but blaming Sarah Palin makes no sense
remember OKC...I think Toon blamed Rush
No Nobel Peace Prize for Sarah Palin.
“Right Wing” in Europe has a totally different meaning than in the US.
They’re not the sharpest tools in the shed.
I’m sure she’s all busted up about it.
There are Crazies on the right. Always have been and will be. The difference is that there are far more on the Left and they act on their insanity more often.
Blaming Palin or anyone but the perp is an exercise in stupidity for the Left. This one may have had some ‘right wing’ beliefs, but I have never seen any sane right winger advocate murdering children in a terrorist action.
The left on the other hand, from Stalin/Mao to their calls for “revolution” against ‘the man’ in America, does that quite often.
It’s apparent from remarks in his “manifesto”, quoted in another thread, that he modeled himself after Islamic Jihadis, even if he placed himself in oppostion to them. He seemed to have an attitude of wanting to prove himself equal to their ferocity and fanaticism.
This has only just begun. Apparently the killer was anti-diversity, possibly pro-Christian, etc. If so, he still should be shot.
The whole affair was a great tragedy, but the Left never lets a tragedy go to waste. It’s in their sick psyche. Just look at Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, and Anita Dunn, among others in the White House (or were).
Some news reports said the the shooter was known to the police and as someone on the “right” but not as a known threat. He could be the “lone wolf” terrorist, much like many of the Moslem terrorists have been in America, scores of them to be precise.
This begs the question of how do you set up a good, reasonable and pragmatic internal security system so that you have a better chance of spotting a lone wolf, as well as the wolf pack.
Since the Democrats destroyed most of our internal security apparatus and programming in the 1970’s, we have been playing catch-up, and with our leaders, it has been an emasculated affair. However, some of the FBI actually have been doing a great job despite the mental midgets at the top. Long story for another post.
Now wait for Napolitano, the Tennessee cops, and Panetta to start issuing warnings about the American RIght Wing Extremists, from Militias to Christian Fundamentalists (i.e, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Billy Graham and his son, Elmer Gantry, and Doc Holiday). This despite the fact that apparently, if a news report was correct, almost all the terrorists captured in both planning and carrying out terrorist operations in the U.S. in the past 8-10 years (with a few exceptions) have been both native-born US citizens or legal immigrants/their children and are MUSLIMS. Somalis, Moroccans, Pakistanis, Palestinians or Hezbollah/Lebanese, etc.
This is what conservative journalists need to investigate, write about, list names-countries of origin, religion, and actions. Not many AMISH on that list will there be (Love Yoda’s way of talking).
The greatest threat is from the Islamic Fascists and American Communists, and their supporters/affinity groups. However, we must also keep an eye on the wackos of the far-right, who do exist and on ocassion, have tried to commit acts of terrorism or have committed murder. No way getting around this so we need to face it head on, condemn these nuts, and assist law enforcement in identifying them, and even prosecuting them when they commit or try to commit acts of violence of any kind.
They are not decent Americans and must be cleaned out just like the Jihadists and their American Left supporters.
Vigilance and knowledge are our weapons, as is the truth.
Let’s tell it like it is and name all our enemies, domestic or foreign.
...And in other news tonight, Scotland Yard is taking as, quote, ‘very believable,’ unquote, reports that Sarah Palin was seen leaving the home of singer Amy Winehouse shortly before Winehouse was found dead...
Crazies on the right go to prison, crazies on the left go into journalism.
That is what they claimed when Jared Loughner shot everybody up, isn’t it?
“This begs the question of how do you set up a good, reasonable and pragmatic internal security system so that you have a better chance of spotting a lone wolf, as well as the wolf pack.”
The founding fathers had the only realistically effective method. The 2nd Amendment. The only other way is to eliminate anything that can potentially become a weapon.
If you stop for a moment just how easy an act of terror with multiple casualties is to commit, there really is no foolproof way of anticipating or defending against it. You just have to hope someone with deadly force is there to stop it. Carjack a loaded gas tanker truck in any random place. Instant WMD. There are thousands on the road at any given moment. Now think of all the ways to use it.
Or politics ;)
Let them first find his church, his pastor and what other church members thought of him. If any form of church going life excxisted I’d be shocked.
He was not a practicing Christian and for sure is not in his right mind. What normal person goes around shooting people to make political points?
Sarah was probably also responsible for Pearl Harbor! What a bunch of idiots.
Its an instant campaign commercial. Not the tragedy, the left trying to use it and others like it (AZ) to defame conservatives. What rational voting person would want people like the lefties running the country when that’s the ‘logic’ that forms their decisions?
