I think they’d have better luck trying to develop a replicator (Star Trek) machine. At least then, everyone could have their Earl Grey (or cat food..)

How much money does the private sector have to create in order for the government to distribute $300,000,000,000 / month (1000 * 300,000,000 or so citizens)?
I guess a better way to ask it is - in order for me to get a single dollar from the government, the bueracracy put in place for me to receive that money (taxman, administration, overhead etc...) has to get paid. So in reality a dollar in my pocket is two, three or four (or more!) dollars out of the private sector.
I can’t believe any serious person is considering this.

Hell, I’d go for that... as long as they could make the “getting rid of all and every government welfare payment to the people, all entitlements” part stick. It would probably be a lot cheaper than the current welfare system.
Got a better idea, though. IMPLEMENT THE FAIR TAX. It has a “prebate” that fill the purpose.

It used to be “Hey buddy, spare a dime?”
Now it’s “Hey buddy, spare 600-1000 a month?”

$300 billion per month is $3.6 trillion per year. We don’t have it.

Just like the French “Universal Health Care” coming here, this thing is about destroying private entreprize, famishing Christians and providing with apparently nothing and no one to work for it the rest. What is the plan here? Getting the Chinese to pay for us? It’s not going to happen, folkes.

Great Britain has prided itself on being so sophisticated and glorifying the “lovable layabout” who sucks off the welfare system and refuses to move out of his easy chair. I find those “lovable layabout” characters they show in their sitcoms to be repulsive.

There is a Spongebob Squarepants cartoon where SB makes so much money selling Pretty Patties that he decides to give away his profits. There is a scene with SB handing out money to a queue of fish. After he gets his money, one fish says, "I'm getting back in line."
