He's saying that McConnell's plan would be a last resort so we don't go into default blah blah blah.
Newsflash to Senator Dupe: if it's a last resort, the democrats will allow nothing else to pass so it becomes the only option.
He knows this of course. But he does his little deceptive dance anyway.
I've been around him in AZ and in TX a few times. My conclusion is that he is nuts. He is way "out there" in his head. You cannot reason with him. He decides something and that is that.
His wife, FYI, is stunning and a pretty nice person. I have no idea what she sees in him.
As much flak as Hannity takes around here, I give him a big thumbs up for standing up to this nonsense McCain is spewing.
In 2008, it was a pick your poison type of election. Obama was the quick acting poison. McCain was the long torturous acting poison.
He just kept saying that he would fight as hard as he could . . . until just before he surrenders.
McConnell, McCain & the boys want to give Obama “discretion” on raising the debt ceiling as he wishes?
Give him and the Democrats an inch, and they take a foot. (Give him an inch, and he thinks he’s a ruler.)
RINO’s get your own hands out of the cookie jar, speak up something SANE, and take the steps that save the republic! Even if it hurts! Washington and the boys at Valley Forge were hurting, too!!
1. Going along with the McConnell plan will effectively cede congressional authority to the president (and we know what he's likely to do);
2. This is not what Republicans were elected to do; and,
3. The backlash from conservatives if this goes down is going to be severe (fair warning).
McCain's position is that it would be such a catastrophe if the government "shuts down" -- that the Republicans will take all the blame -- that if it comes to that he's supporting the McConnell plan ... the alternatives will not pass --- to which Hannity replied, "It sounds like the fix is in."
If McCain would just go after Obama and the Democrats the way that he attacked J.D. Hayworth and backstabbed fellow Republicans all his life, there’s no telling what he could accomplish.
I don’t think so. Hannity was at the point where he was getting pissed at McCain’s crapweasel talk. He is not in the mood for compromise.
Anybody ever see the movie, “Shooter” with Mark Wahlberg? The *senator* in that movie reminds me so much of mccain, it is scary. I have wondered if the actor actually molded that part after mccain.
1. Vote McConnell Plan down— get it out of the way.
2. Pass an $800 billion increase to borrowing limit, tied to $900 billion real budget cuts.
3. Tell Dick Obozo, “Sign it, or We'll see you at ‘Armageddon’.”
Yeah, like 1995-96 was such a disaster where the GOP won TWO senate seats and lost a measly five seats in the House. This being the era where FR was just about in its infancy. The voters are more informed today which can only help us not hurt us.
I thought I was the only one that saw the resemblance!
The only reason he gained traction was Sarah Palin. McCain wasn’t popular, we ALL knew he was a RINO. No one would vote for him, before Palin. I voted for Palin, not McCain. McCain is irrelevant. He was our best at the time.
No more. We all want a TRUE BLUE conservative. No Gingrich, no Pawlenty, no Rudy.
Enough, we’re through with this crap. Hey, lurker journalists, we aren’t buying your crack reporting anymore. Your ratings are failing. We’ll do it our way. We’re done supporting you. Join us or fail.
I just ripped the local GOP fundraiser caller guy, he didn’t have counter and ended, ok, bye. Poor guy, I didn’t feel bad, one second. He bought the GOP line. The tea party is strong. I have hope. We’ll see. We don’t need the gop, they are Blockbuster.
Conservatives are winning, and this is good! America will win. Isn’t our bottom line, it’s THERE bottom line, and it fails.
America will win!
Sean is not the reason we have McCain. The people of AZ who continue to vote for this miserable, worthless old fart are responsible. He doesn’t care because he knows that if he was to run today, those same dummies would elect him again.
Default on what McDork? The Feds will take in TONS of money in August. They collect the stuff by the truckload. There is nothing stopping 0 from paying creditors and bluehairs.
He was useful at one time; he isn't anymore because his interviews are often nothing more than tacit endorsements. I don't 'agree' any more, I don't compromise any more, I don't listen any more.
I thought I was the only one that saw the resemblance!
He sounded totally stuck in 1995 as if almost in a trance. He doesn’t seem capable of understanding that NOW is not THEN. He and others are such fraidy cats. He also didn’t seem to even really hear what Hannity was saying to him.
