People unfortunate enough to be watching MSNBC since Keith Olbermann was forced out in January have noticed a tremendously unqualified "Young Turk" in the 6PM slot that used to be occupied by Ed Schultz.

For the past two weeks, Al Sharpton has filled in for the supposedly vacationing Cenk Uygur, and according to TVNewser, this might be permanent:

I do not watch MSNBC. I skip past it several times in the evening, going from the regular CNBC to the Asian CNBC, to keep track of vital economic news. MSNBC has been running some very Leftwing adds on CNBC in recent weeks, which certainly do not suggest anything any American ought to support.

Now that said, surely Al Sharpton is too obviously goofy for even MSNBC. Is this intended as a burlesque?

Al Sharpton's principal benefit is in providing a litmus test to how uncritical the judgment of those in the lowest level of American journalism has become.

Well, I guess that at the very least, there will now be an American hosting the show.

I tried watching this show once, hosted by a man with an unpronounceable name, and it was like watching a young Hosni Mubarak reading from a list of 'Why I Hate America'.

Real riveting stuff there.

Guffaw! Imagine how Stink Yugo must feel to be replaced by a racist buffoon like Al. Imagine what a cesspool MSNBC acknowledges being by giving a clown like Al a show. It's a win-win for everybody and a total embarrassment for the left.

Hey, don’t knock Jiffy-Pop hair Al.

At least he’s an American clown.

Interesting how the Left has been elevating the likes of Markos Moulitsas and Cenk Uygur. Not surprising to find them attacking the culture of the average American.

The suits at MSNBC are not that foolish, Sharpton could nuke MSNBC’s executives or lose the election for Obama in a single off the cuff tirade,

if they allowed him to become comfortable in his role he will show his true form as regularly on display at African American Churches and NGO rallies...

That would get ugly quick.
