She is tainted by neocon to some degree. But she is working to rid herself of that by hiring realist foreign policy advisors.

But it’s interesting that you put “school of thought” in there. Many would assume that allegiance to a school of thought would be a good thing, but as you rightly point out, it definitely doesn’t have to be.

It’s a pitch that would be effective with Ron Paul supporters.

If you had Palin at the top of the ticket and Ron Paul underneath it would be an absolutely unstoppable ticket. MANY Dims like Ron Paul. I have a nephew that voted for Obama but would have voted for Ron Paul if he had won the Republican nomination.

In a debate they would absolutely cream Obama or Hillary.
(I’m still not convinced Obama has ever planned to run in 2012.)

Since that school of thought is alleged to be of the followers of Strauss and I have read Strauss it is hard to see what the problem is. My suspicion is that no one can tell me how his students by following his beliefs could harm our nation and that whoever hung the term, neo-con/Straussian, (initially on W’s people) knew no one knew what the hell it meant and the media ran with it.
