If you had Palin at the top of the ticket and Ron Paul underneath it would be an absolutely unstoppable ticket. MANY Dims like Ron Paul. I have a nephew that voted for Obama but would have voted for Ron Paul if he had won the Republican nomination.
In a debate they would absolutely cream Obama or Hillary.
(I’m still not convinced Obama has ever planned to run in 2012.)
The Dems know that a Palin victory means First Female President. They might want a female to neutralize. Obama/Clinton? Or just Clinton?
I think the Palin / Paul ticket is a good one. I happen to think Paul would make the best President. But Palin is an awesome campaigner, a victory would be historical. And she’d be the most likely to win the Republican Primary.
I don’t see Paul just dropping out if Palin gets in. Bachmann could just drop out if Palin got in, or not make it to the primaries. I can see RP staying in, bashing the establishment candidate. Palin and Paul should have a talk, if they haven’t already. Paul, or the grassroots is making attempts to target younger voters, R’s, D’s and I’s, and I think they’re going to focus on Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania. The idea is to get Ron’s favorability, especially, up among the young in those states. If Ron is able to accomplish that - high favorables, and low Obama numbers in a Paul vs Obama head to head, especially with Urban Young White Independents, Democrats, with higher educations and higher incomes, who I think are souring somewhat with Obama.
The elites don’t like Palin. But they don’t like Ron Paul even more. That’s something to consider as well if you’re Palin. If I was Palin I would not put Rick Perry in there.
“If you had Palin at the top of the ticket and Ron Paul underneath it would be an absolutely unstoppable ticket.” ROTFLMAO. Not only would any such ticket be transforming certain defeat for Urkel into certain victory it is one Sarah would NEVER agree to. She waaay too smart for that.
It is as rational as your doubt that he is going to run again. Cast it aside.
