I agree we should keep the Feds out of all we can but isn’t a military recruiting center considered govt. property?
It is Federal property, and it may also be a Federal case if the people shot were in uniform and on duty.
There were virtually no Federal crimes when I was growing up. I'll admit that Texas probably botched things, but Lee Harvey Oswald was being held in Texas by Texas authorities. Now everything is some sort of Federal crime and, as judged by this case and others, subject to the whim of the political rulers in Washington. I'd rather take my chances with 50 different State governments.
