The Usurper fought for this human piece of garbage, yet was not for the Illinois “Born Alive” legislation to help innocent children who somehow survive an abortion attempt by evil “doctors” and their selfish “mothers”.
Jan.20, 2013 can’t get here soon enough.

Obama has to try to mollify the Mexican Presidente so he doesn’t burn him on “Fast and Foolhardy”.
Fortunately, the Republic of Texas stands between Mexico and the US.

[Mexico] Worst neighbor ever. That's so true. As loopy as the Canadians can sometimes be (healthcare and, more recently, the Vancouver riots), Texas would be far better off if the borders were flipped in some bizarre twist of geography.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the Mexicans (illegal and otherwise) here in Texas over the next few days. Will this scum's "Viva Mexico" become a rallying cry for the LULAC and La Raza constituency among us? Will the righteous and just execution of the Mexican Murderer perhaps trigger Rodney King riots here among those who brazenly refuse to assimilate?
I think not.

DNMFOHE -
I was pretty certain Perry wouldn't cave. GE - He would not go against his Bureau of Pardons in a case.
A Texas guv has very limited powers in these situations; a 30-day stay is about all he can do.

From an MSNBC article:
"Leal's attorney Sandra L. Babcock said that with consular help her client could have shown that he was not guilty.
"In his last minutes, Humberto Leal repeatedly said he was sorry and accepted responsibility."

“Last Words: Viva Mexico!”
Remorseless words to be conveyed back to Obama and Bush.

You accidentally addressed the wrong person. I didn’t say that, it was berdie.

"In his last minutes, Humberto Leal repeatedly said he was sorry and accepted responsibility." His remorse and contrition was completely undone with "Viva Mexico" IMHO. Any potential for forgiveness (as slight at it was considering the brutality of this beast) from me instantly vanished with those words.
FUMX!

For what he did death was a very open and waiting door.

I’m pretty sure the governor of Texas has the power to commute a death sentence.
If you have information to the contrary, I would be interested in seeing it.

NOPE! All pardons, paroles and commutations MUST be recommended from the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles! The Governor does NOT have the authority to arbitrarily commute or pardon prisoners! The Governor can only give a one-time, 30-day reprieve to give the Pardons Board a chance to consider or re-consider a particular case!

Truthfully, Texas is not one of the better states in which to run afoul of the law. True. Especially if you're black or a minority.
