Other than being a career Washington politician, McCain's biggest problem was he believed the press actually liked him. He was little more than a weapon the press used against W in the primaries.
I had to reread your comment because I knew a media type just like that, back in the day, and his name actually was Jack Russell.
He was a die-hard Democrat, but not of the kind we see today, and he didn't give a rip what letter was behind the name of a politician - if they did wrong he was all over them like white on rice. He was a true journalist who did not let his own politics get in the way of telling the truth.
I had a great-uncle who was named Captain General Hicks.
He was drafted into the Army as a Private of course.

There is a LOT to be said for making one’s public appearances brief and rare when one is a leader. Once a leader over-exposes themselves, they become part of the noise of everyday life... and situation of “Oh, YOU again? Jeez, will you never STFU? Why are you on my TV AGAIN?!”
When we were kids, remember how “important” it was when the POTUS would come on the TV?

Boy King does, in fact, know what an American is. We're the ones funding the corruption and thuggery that democrats label their administration. How many unemployed and/or homeless Americans could he have sustained with food and shelter for the costs involved for the "vacations" his family takes about every other week?
He knows (as do his democrat enablers) that AMERICANS are paying to the hilt for the entitlements illegal aliens now expect from citizen taxpayers. The intent of democrats for hiking our taxes to pay for Obama/democrat "favored" people has finally hit a brick wall. If Republicans cave in on the debt ceiling, it will be the worst thing they could ever do from a historic (will of the people) standpoint.
