The coming revolution

Two hundred and thirty five years ago a group of concerned citizens after repeatedly trying to work within the existing government announced their intentions. By openly declaring their views and putting the government on notice they risked everything. All peaceful methods and petitions got them nowhere. They knew the consequences of their actions. By signing this document they would be wanted criminals. That is why John Hancock signed with such flourish, so those in power would not mistake his signature with anyone else. We know what transpired after that and it is what we celebrate today.

One year ago large groups of citizens found themselves in the same position as their forefathers in regards to an unresponsive government. They rallied not to any particular leader but to the ideas set forth over two hundred years ago. Under the rally cry of TEA Party (Taxed Enough Already) they risked their reputations, their business’s, and their lively hoods against a government out of control and their allies in the press. Using institutions created to avoid the bloodshed of the first revolution the internet was their cannon and the ballot box their musket. Not every skirmish was won in 2010, but the battle was a success for the citizens that wanted a government for the people by the people and not a ruling class.

The second war for independence is far from over; there are important battles still to fight. The ruling class, still stinging from defeat is amassing its special interest troops to fight for the fruits of the American system. War chests are brimming with rewards for those that keep the status quo. The allies in the media are looking for targets for their big guns to demoralize these upstart radicals.

Still a large portion of the population see these radicals and don’t know what to make of them. There are no leaders to explain what is at stake by appearing on Oprah, the View or ridiculed on John Stewart. Those that wish to keep us in servitude make sure to be everywhere and warn the people of the consequences if they lose power.

So what is this second revolution really about? Do they really want to destroy the Government and end all taxes even for worthy causes? What is needed is a second declaration to clearly spell out the grievances and what this fight is all about. Since many of the same assaults to free men from England are now coming from our own government the changes are minor but the statement is as powerful as 235 years ago.

To Congress, July 4 2010
A DECLARATION
By The Citizens of the
United States of America,

When in the course of history, it becomes necessary for the citizens’ to dissolve the political parties which have connected them together and assume the powers of the country, the separate but equal station which the laws of nature and God entitles them, to respect the opinions off its citizens it requires that they should announce the reasons that force them to separate.

We hold these truths to be without question, all people are created equal, these rights are given by God and not the government, some of these rights are, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to ensure these rights, Our Government was created among the people, getting their powers from the agreement of the people, whenever that form of government becomes destructive of these rights, it is the right of the people to change or abolish it, and to form a new government, based upon these principals and organized in a way that will seem most likely to protect their safety and happiness. Caution will say that governments around a long time should not be changed lightly, but experience shows that people will suffer while evil is bearable than to make changes to remove this evil that they have become used to. But when an endless line of abuses and violations take place designed to reduce those to mere serfs, it is their right, their duty, to throw off such government, and to elect new guards for themselves and their children’s future security. The citizens in their suffering have been patient, and now is the time which forces them to alter their former system of government. The history of the Federal Government is a history of repeated injuries and disrespect, the goal to create a ruling class over the citizens of this country. To prove this let the facts below submitted to the world.

They have refused to enforce the laws, the same laws enacted by them for the public good.

They have forbidden governors to pass laws that mirror laws enacted by congress and have asked that these laws be suspended until their plan is complete.

They have refused to follow laws they themselves made for the citizens.

They have refused to meet with the citizens, and when they do it is at places unusual, uncomfortable, distant from the people and packed with their own supporters, for the sole purpose of wearing them down.

They have ignored the Constituent repeatedly, for opposing their invasions on the rights of the people.

They have interfered with the election process to cause others to be elected by offering jobs and other items of value. Items owned by the people and not the government to pass legislation that could not pass on its own merits. Exposing states to the dangers of invasion from without and convulsions from within.

They have tried to prevent the population of these states from passing laws protecting their own boarders from an invasion of illegal foreigners ,refusing to pass others encouraging illegal migrations into this country.

They have obstructed justice by refusing to prosecute voter intimidation and to dismantle the laws in place to investigate wrongdoing by their own.

They have made elected officials dependent on their will alone by the trading of votes for the largeness of the federal pocketbook.

They have appointed a multitude of new czars that answer only to them and sent swarms of IRS officers to harass our people and tax their labor.

They have kept among us in times of sacrifice large groups of special interest that do not share the pain of this economy.

They have affected to render the military powerless to protect our country.

They have combined with others to try to subject us to laws foreign to our constitution and unacknowledged by our laws, giving their consent to acts of pretend legislation.

For have passing legislation in the dead of night, through parliamentary tricks, at the last minute so serious public debate could not take place, and then exempt themselves from its mandates.

For protecting themselves, with mock trials, from punishment for crimes against the people of this nation.

For trying to cut off our trade of oil, to all parts of the world.

For imposing taxes on us, without our consent.

For attacking private citizens’ without the benefits of a trial by jury but a trial by the media.

For squandering our goodwill overseas, insulting our allies and apologizing for pretend offences.

For perverting our justice system to make some crimes against special groups worse than the same crimes but without the offensive thoughts.

For taking away our freedoms, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our government.

For suspending our own laws, and declaring themselves invested with powers to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

They have said they cannot do their jobs, they cannot protect our boarders, cannot protect the individual citizen, cannot stop the spending or reduce taxes, but insist on more control over our lives.

They have plundered our seas, ravaged our coast, and destroyed the lives of our people by their inaction in the gulf oil spill. They could not accept foreign help but found the time to send lawyers.

They have at this time taken over large portions of our economy, Autos, banking and healthcare. Borrowed tremendous sums of money and the result of all this is an economy on its knees.

They have constrained our fellow citizens’ from excelling with crushing taxes, burdensome regulations and intrusive reporting. They have turned doctors and hospitals into paper mills, businessmen into bureaucrats, and citizens’ fearful of their own government.

They have excited domestic insurrections among us, and have tried to bring the inhabitants of our boarders the illegal immigrants who only want to live off the fruit of our labor through the redistribution of our wealth.

In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned in the most humble terms. Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated insult. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

We have not forgotten our local representatives. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to overstep their bounds. We have reminded them of the circumstances of their employment by us. We have appealed to their sense of justice and fairness and asked how could you do this to your own constituents. They too have been deaf to the voice of the people and thought they knew what was best for us. We must then announce our separation and hold them as we hold everyone by their actions and deeds.

We therefore, the citizens’ of the United States of America by the authority of the people of these states solemnly publish and declare and right ought to be free and independent and absolved of all allegiance to both political parties. All allegiance to either party ought to be totally dissolved and that as free and independent voters have the full power to change this government starting with the November 2010 election and continuing until this form of government is changed to one we can again be proud of.

With a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

-——What is needed is a second declaration to clearly spell out the grievances -——

If a continental congress were called to draft such a document this summer, it would adjourn in disarray in January.

The logical place to draft such a document is Free Republic. The dissension and single minded foggy thinking displayed everyday would never allow such a document to be written, much less signed.

To begin with the original tea party was held by a handful of radicals. Today there are several tea parties. they are similar but have different leaders and agendas. There is a lack of cohesion.

When it all got boiled down into agreement, one wonders if it would be meaningful

Revolution? Heck, most Americans still think we’re just “in a phase.” Most won’t engage in necessary tactics...opting still for sending e-mails, calling CapHill switchboard, or attending a rally. Then there’s the slew of folks who think Obama will be impeached.....

We have created a system in which one man - ONE MAN - has the power to re-write our Constitution. That man is Anthony Kennedy, the deciding member in a split Supreme Court.

The day will soon come when he will decide whether the “Commerce Clause” gives the Federal (i.e. central) government unlimited power to order anything it wants to order.

This is part of a judicial system running wild, displacing the legislatures, trampling the expressed will of the voters, a self-defining super-authority beyond anything ever conceived by the Founding Fathers.

I like your thinking. I am sick and tired of emailing my reps and receiving generic responses (Jim DeMint is an exception.)

Do you have suggestions?

What is needed, a gathering of about twenty thousand men. Come with long arms, (unloaded) and checked to be so.

Research all federal, state and local statutes for legality of the gathering, soliciting legal representation if needed.

A gathering of men with arms for a nonviolent protest to send a message that the government is too big, too intrusive, too expensive, too encompassing.

We want to reduce the size of federal government and restore the powers back to the states. Restore only the constitutional federal powers as intended by the framers.

Nonviolent. Arms are to give them a picture that will stick in their minds.

Today there are several tea parties.

All Tea Party supporters know in their heart what needs to be done. Call for competing drafts and have a common Convention of Tea Parties to forge a common one. Then drop the bomb on the elected Officials. What would be the reaction??

The Commie Dems and the Elitist Pubbies would absolutely have an aneurysm.

Would it be a considered a revolution or a civil war to force the FEDGOV to abide by the Constitution? I think that's what everyone wants. The current government structure is fine for the most part, its the men that occupy it that need to be turned out on their ear.

Once forced out, and lets face it, we can't get them out through the election system they control the following people should never participate in the political process in any way. They are the ones that have screwed things up and it would be insane to believe that they would fix a damn thing -

I’ve been on FR saying the same things for 2 years now, so I know ideas will go unheeded. They are so because most people seem to think I’m talking about violence. (That’s for leftists & their anarchist friends.)

It seems everyone has lost the concept of the intermediate step between holding a feel-good rally in D.C. (during which conservative dollars line the pockets of liberal who run the town, and the pols leave town) and violence.

It’s an old-fashioned idea called civil disobedience. It’s not for show or to gain media attention...it’s targeted at putting pressure on our elected officials in ways that get their attention. For example, do you think they might feel the pinch if deliveries weren’t made inside the beltway for a week? A month? Do you think they might notice if everyone withdrew 95% of their bank funds on the same day? Would it get their attention if no one bought anything for 48 hours?

Of course, it takes orchestration and compliance. It also requires a spokesperson to warn elected “leaders” to heed the message of the people.

Alas, I fear the American people have no spokesman, no orchestration, and little will to comply - owing the the fact that it might create some discomfort. If not the latter, it’s just plain fear....which I suspect is what our elected leaders smell in us. Hence, we are ruled by a lawless group who knows we are cowed. They take joy in the knowledge that we’ll just keep using useless old tactics (calling, sending emails, rallies) and playing by the rules, when they, in fact, changed the rules & the game on 11/4/08.

>>An unloaded weapon is a hammer. What is the point? They will still take them away.<<

Not if you follow the law. The point is not violence, the point is to give a visual message that the people are still in charge, not the politicians.

I truly believe, the federals have enacted a campaign to flood this country with legal and illegal immigrants in an effort to water down the electorate.

Furthermore, they know full well that allowing immigrants to hold dual citizenship that their loyalties would be divided.

There is an all out assault on the constitution in an effort to marginalize it, to rewrite it.

Just imagine this. Ten years from now, the media reports that O-bozo really was foreign born or did not meet the natural born requirements of the constitution.

HEADLINE: BARRY SOETORO COMES CLEAN
The article continues that Barry aka Obama admitted today that he was born in Kenya.... blah blah blah. Then the article ask the reader, now that we've had a foreign born president, did we collapse as a nation? Are we as strong as we have ever been as a nation?

Making light of our founding document and further advancing the progressive cause and the destruction of our republic.

I can see it coming.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Honestly....I find it discouraging.

One of the most important institutions to take back is K-12 education, yet it is amazing how many conservatives think that government socialist-funded, compulsory, and godless schools ( run by the collectivist voting mob) can be reformed.

Even conservatives are brainwashed in many many ways.
