Since when has “myself” replaced “me” or “I” in the English language?
Her letter with its numerous “myself”s grated on all the English and literature classes of my past.
Many usage guides, however, state that to use myself in any construction in which I or me could be used instead (as My daughter and myself play the flute instead of My daughter and I, or a gift for my husband and myself instead of for my husband and me ) is characteristic only of informal speech and that such use ought not to occur in writing.
Yeah, the overuse of ‘myself’ has bugged me for a while now. Lots of people do it, seemingly to try to sound smart while achieving the opposite effect.

Correct grammar is for the evil white capitalist oppressor class. Why have you not joined the revolution, comrade?/sarcasm;)

LOL - and the talentless little twit claims to be a writer.
Did you see the hilarious sample of her so-called poetry? Pretentious and banal. Just like liberal personalities.
LOL - yes, it is very annoying.
Along with misplaced “I” and “me” - as if people think they’re being smart and erudite by using “I” or “myself” everywhere rather than “me” when an object, since using “me” in the subject is the well-known common error. They rebel against “me” everywhere.
