Hell they are even taking a third look at Mars now, but I am sure you did not realize that either... By the way, good bye...

[To the iggy list with you, provis99! Nadin is DONE with you!]

It takes me about 3 looks at a Mars before I decide whether I want to eat one or not...

The Drake equation is a Prime example of the truism that figures don't lie, but liars figure.

8x0=0

Pull any 8 digits out of your heinie, and apply them to the Drake equation. You have just calculated what a stoner like Carl Sagan figures is the official number of space faring civilizations screwing up wheat fields in Britain. (And Sagan's Squirrels, who keep claiming it's LGMs, {Little Green or Grey Men, opinions differ.], despite the confessions of the three guys who did It, and a TV Documentary showing how.)

That progressives take this as Gospel According to St Carl is typical, since He was on TV, and TV Knows All.

My personal Favorite is the tape of artillery flares drifting down behind the, (I think it was Arizona.) mountains that are a string of UFOs.
Anyone who has seen illumes, recognizes them, but because the US Military doesn't like to tell stoners what they do for a living, cranks call Perpetually Credulous Art Bell at Zero Dark Thirty to sob about LGMs and a student does a prank call about being kidnapped.

The Drake Equation is a classic example of trying to prove a negative. Do civilizations exist elsewhere in the universe? There's absolutely no proof they do. Yet this formula is admittedly an exercise to develop parameters around the potential size of said community. And idiots like nadinbrzezinski consider it science.

I was on another site (in addition to Wiki) that fully admitted there was no proof of any such existence. Yet they wanna believe, if only because the universe is so large - it just has to be so. So, they claim that even an answer of '0' is good because it doesn't mean it is absolutely impossible. There's always the chance...

Now, that's science for ya...
