The thing about progressivism, leftism (I refuse to call it liberalism. True classical liberalism is now called conservatism), is that it is inconsistent. It has to be, as it does not match with reality. So when, the universe strikes a liberal, who can never admit he was wrong, he has to come up with an explanation.
