"The woman was videotaping a traffic stop in front of her house at night. The video speaks for itself."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7ZkFZkejv8
Privacy wasn’t actually a problem here ~ what we have is “possession”. It was her yard or it wasn’t. Wonder what that’s going to be worth eh?
She was home. The police were wrong period. If they are afraid of being taped then they must be doing something wrong. As they like to say to us what do you have to hide.
Actually form the article “She was charged with obstructing government administration. I’m looking forward to her lawsuit.”
Standing behind a police officer and being in her own yard is not a crime and the police are digging thier own grave and enemies.
An a cop what do you think of the cop.
I think it is learned at the academy. It must be standard .CYA
I used to converse with them when I saw one. Over the years, I have learned from experience, unless it is in Plant City, not do that. The older ones were o.k with it and conversed back. The younger ones are not and their conversation consists of, "Don't come any closer".
2. The cop that shot the kid at the BART train station f$%ked up and was convicted. The videos were irrelevant.
3. Don't be doing stuff as a cop that you do not want on youtube.
Pretty easy rules.
A female friend of mine was assaulted and battered by Deputy Sheriffs on a dark road at 11pm at night. We withheld the information that she had dialed her cellphone to our automated recording system until we had their depositions on the record and then confronted them with the truth over their blatant lies. They got fired and she was awarded a nice chunk of change. They conspired to lie their a$$es off and we filed a Federal Civil Rights case in which she also prevailed - based upon the taped evidence.
>>What was this woman supposed to do, start a firefight?<<
What she needed to do was stand her ground. That is what our founding fathers did. And she did. Youtube is changing the world for everyone. She will almost certainly get a nice settlement. And she should.
Look at the number of AWOL cops in New Orleans during Katrina. About 300 decided to bag it.
Like you said, if it's SHTF time, a large percentage, if not most, will be thinking of themselves and their families first. Many cops are just unionized public employees with badges and guns.
“One only has to watch that tape to see that it was no mistake. “
That’s my point- without that tape the policeman might have walked, if the other police backed up the story.
These types of cases are "tested out" everyday in courthouses throughout the Country.
Glenn Beck is discussing this now on his radio show...
“I feel threatened.”
“You’re holding something that might be a weapon! Drop it so I can inspect and disassemble it!”
“STOP RESISTING!!!”
So you say we should become him to defeat him? Do that which is evil, in order that the greater good may result? Are we all just Bill Ayers Weathermen Democrats now?
Not sure you and I see eye to eye, hayna? Or no?
Yes, just do as you are told, the overlords are beneficent after all.
Be a good sheep, Baa Baa
She had every right, to be in her yard, on her property. And you should know that.
Be a good sheep, Baa Baa. Go to your holding pen....
They can order it, but you do not have to obey. They are just cops, employed by us, not our overlords.
Why don’t you test that out sometime and let us know how it goes?
So you DO approve of these police methods. Very telling
