To whittle it down, roughly 50% of cops are basically ex-high scholl jock types that could not find any other job that took advantage of their abilities. They like the machismo and can be regular brown shirts. The other half are either naive kids thinking they will change the world and guys that do as little work (including pulling people over) as possible and have a taste for donuts. Police forces are for the most part a representation of the community, for better or worse. Being a cop I can tell you that 50 percent of cops are definitely not ex jocks. Ex-momma's basement tenants maybe... but definitely not ex-jocks.

If I am not breaking the law then I can do what ever I want when ever I want to on my own property. The cops do not have to agree or give me consent. I am the public and the cops are employed by the public. Sometimes they forget.

Interesting thing about the King video is that the only thing the courts actually convicted for was in a section that was cut out of the video that got all the showings. In both criminal cases the jury found the section that was repeatedly shown represented a legitimate use of force.

How hard would it have been for her to go into her home when asked? What part of this is not supposed to be a police state do you not understand? It's 100% irrelevant how easy or how hard it would have been for her to follow the JBTs illegal order. She did nothing wrong and she was on her own property. Queen of the castle, end of story.
But by all means, keep feeding the totalitarian state little by little, then wonder in amazement when the monstrous, hungry beast devours you. But it will be OK, because they will just be following orders.

This garbage is becoming more frequent. I hope this or another similar goes to SCOTUS and they set a precedence that this is unconstitutional i.e. violates first amendment rights.
To: Prokopton
They can order it, but you do not have to obey. They are just cops, employed by us, not our overlords. Why don't you test that out sometime and let us know how it goes?

This doesn’t change the fact that the cop was way out of line.

You mean to stand here and tell us that there are good cops? Where? They have all long since passed from the roll of protectors to oppressors. New categories, chicken-shit cop or badge-happy jerkoff? These are all that I see every day and I live in an upscale town. You need to go examine the mentality of those who seek jobs in law enforcement. They are mostly all of the ilk you described. What you have almost without exception is folks with size 44 coveralls and size 4 hats, coupled with the need to exercise “control” over others. They are not our friends, they are here to try and arrest you if you are lucky and shoot you if you aren’t. This woman made a terrible mistake filming them in action. It crimps their style, so they simply arrest her. Good luck in court. Court’s are there to support the cops. They are just another part of the chain.
