heh. Chopra is only one recent incarnation of a classic American figure--the itinerant "snake oil salesman," pitching his cure-all from the back of a wagon at the county fair.

These hucksters have always found a receptive audience in this country, as witnessed by the plethora of self-help, instant diet, and sexual gymnastics paperback market. Add in a dollop of Eastern mysticism, maybe do the verbal equivalent of the Indian rope trick a few times, and you have a prosperous career.

With the original snake oil, at least you got a good alcohol buzz from the potion. This guy leaves you with nothing but the feeling that you just wasted your time and money.
