According to an article posted a few stories above this one, Hussein is outlawing the trading of gold and silver by US Citizens (which is is not, so he still can) on July 15th.

Discussion on that thread shows that what is outlawed is selling you a paper that says you have, say, 100 oz of gold that they’ll hold for you. They must deliver the gold to you within 28 days, instead.

So it stops someone selling you gold or silver that they don’t/won’t have w/i 28 days for delivery.

It doesn’t stop buying/selling the physical product.

That one scared me, too, until I read it.
