We have something that looks like that in our yard, er farm, I think it might be milk weed, not sure though. Take a leaf and pinch it off, see if it leaks something that looks milky.

Hmmm on second look I don’t think it’s milk weed. Milk weed has thicker leaves. Try taking it to a garden shop. They can usually tell you what it is and how to get rid of it.

Looks like milkweed. Break a leaf, if it oozes a thick white goo, it's milkweed. It is also the only plant eaten by monarch butterfly caterpillars, and you'll often find their chysalises hanging on them... a light jade green orb-like coccoon ringed under the top with a single strand of black & gold flecks.
