House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R.-Calif.) told CNSNews.com in an interview that he believes the Justice Department is covering up information relevant to a congressional investigation of an operation in which the department knowingly allowed intermediaries of Mexican drug cartels to purchase guns at licensed firearms dealers in the United States and then get away without being arrested or the guns being retrieved. Last December, two of those guns ended up at the scene of the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was killed by alleged agents

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that these weapons would be involved in murder. If they planned on these guns to end up with cartel members, they aided in the deaths of our BPD officers and innocent Mexicans.

And there is no ‘if’ here, they expected and wanted the guns to end up with cartels.

If they planned on these guns to end up with cartel members,\...

Which was the stated purpose. And which would also support the administration's claim that the absence of "gun control" in the USA was arming the Mexican drug cartels.

The SOBs got caught. And they are squirming...

I hope they are squirming but I fear that they know they can get away with it. Scarey times. Pray

After today’s news I don’t think they can continue to stonewall.

My prediction is that Holder will resign setting Issa’s investigation back a bit and the media will breathlessly report on the new senate investigation of Bush.

They allowed 2,000 guns (that we know of) to cross south of the border. Any arrests resulting from knowing where the guns went or where is the plan to recover the guns or maybe they never meant to do either.

Wonder if any tanks were involved, much easier to track than waiting for a hand gun to show up after a fire fight.

Issa will have the same effect he had in California...not much.

Speaking of fire-fights, what are the odds that the handgun used by J. Loughner in Tucson that killed 6 Americans might have had its origins in “Fast and Furious”?

Reports are that the ATF in general was unable to keep their shorts clean for weeks, their fear was so great that Loughner's gun was gunwalked by "Fast and Furious".

There is no proof available to the public that it was.

Issa, we get it. Obammy, the Kenyan communist, thinks he is above the rule of law. Stop whinning and take immediate legal action against him.

Republicans in Congress, stop giving him passes and come down on him like a ton of bricks. He will gladly be a dictator if you allow him to be.

I have been watching the hearings in full on youtube. The agents who were involved in the transactions and in testifying for the commission were not happy about this at all.

This was all holder and I guarantee that he didn’t make the radical decision to change the way these cases were handled without the kenyan telling him to.

Now the problem is proving it. Stonewalling will only work so far. They provided completely blacked out pages of discovery to Issa. About 80 pages i think he said.

I hope that they can work this all the way to the top, but I bet that Obama and Holder are trying very hard now to get someone to fall on the sword.

because some of the things that they redacted, we have the unredacted versions from whistleblowers. We believe they did excess redacting, which again is denying us that which would be reasonable to deliver us.

Is this the "smoking gun"?
