The writing score of Palin's everyday emails 8.5 compares with Obama's 2010 SOTU speech which clocked in at 8.8.
In President Obama's case, his Flesch-Kincaid grade level score was 8.8 for his first State of the Union Address
Got that? Palin's everyday emails are written at the same level as one of the most important Presidential speeches given by a President. You know the speech that has several professional speech writers working for months on? Yeah that speech. Palin's emails also score close to MLK Jr.'s "I have a Dream" speech (8.8) and the Gettysburg Address (9.1).
Although it's like comparing apples to oranges, Payack said that famous speeches like Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address was a 9.1 and Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" oration rated a 8.8 on the scale.
Remember now, these are Palin's EMAILS. Written every day. Not a polished speech. If Obama can only rise a bit above Palin's every day writing score in the SOTU speech what does this say when comparing Palin vs Obama on a day to day basis?

Off the cuff, throw away emails from Palin are produced (personally) at about the same level as the stuff Obama manages to craft over the course of weeks, with the help of professionals.
In related news, there was a story here recently that Michelle needs to rehearse on a teleprompter for days because she has such a hard time reading in a fluent fashion. These people are barely literate, I think.
But, remember, Palin is a moron.
i didn’t hear about Michelle that’s good info. I have noticed that Palin hasn’t used a teleprompter for a speech since july 2009. She does all her speeches from notes.

Obama’s Keynote Address at the DNC Convention: 6th Grade Level.
nice site. thx.....
his Yes we can speech...7.4
“These people (Obamas) are barely literate, I think.”
Yup; I wanted to reach through the TV screen and grab Hussein when he said about Weiner on NBC, “If it was me, I would resign.” Arrrrgh! That’s sixth grade stuff.
Some DUmmie wrote this: “President Obama said in his NBC interview, ‘If it was me, I would resign.’ And O’Really corrected him saying it should be, ‘If it were me.’ Which one is right? I think it could go either way, couldn’t it?
And O’Really corrected him saying it should be, “If it were me.” Which one is right? I think it could go either way, couldn’t it?” DUmmies “think it could go either way. Pitiful.
Difference being: Palin writes her own e-mails, Bammy depends on help for EVERYTHING he does or says...
well what do you want from a havard education.....
Pretty much my post was an effort to destroy the narrative that Obama or the whitehouse are on a totally different level than Palin.
Personally I think the idea of basing one’s vote on “smarts” is kind of stupid. a person's smarts doesn't tell you HOW they will use those smarts or even if they can use those “smarts” effectively.
I think as long as a person hits a certain level that qualification becomes meaningless. I mean I wouldn't want a moron in the office. but someone able to handle a complex issue and make informed decisions based on advice and gathering of information is enough so that then we can move onto their character, and results of how that character makes their decisions...
Uh, uh, uh, er, uh, I’ll, ah, let you know in uh, 16 hours.

this is so much fun :>)
Thanks... FB’d it!
In our society, we have lost sight of the importance of wisdom over intellect.
I believe Palin is MORE than “smart” enough to be President and believe her to be one of the “wisest” candidates in the last 50 years....
agreed. wisdom is so much more important.
Great thread
ha ha ha - I’m ggoing to spam other sites with this and set the lefts’ hair on fire.
Of course, the difference being is that Obama didn’t write his 2010 SOTU address while Palin did write her own emails.
