Members of the Cambridge Five were working in British intelligence and fed the foreign office false information about both Mihailovich and Tito, thus getting Britain to take Tito’s side. Along with the Rosenbergs, may they burn in Hell.
“The Forgotten 500” is a good book to read on this subject. Our State Dept. was infested with commies during and after the war and were largely responsible for Mihailovich’s execution by Tito after the war in spite of the efforts of numerous Americans who owed their lives to him.
It’s very simple. The Soviet agents in the West betrayed the noble Mihailovich. Those who sought to free us from Communist influence, like the late Joseph McCarthy, were ridiculed and slandered, just as they are today, when we have our first Marxist President.
My Serbian grandfather and uncle were executed after the war by Tito because they supported the monarchy as career military officers. A lot of games were played at different levels to allow these things to happen.
