The squabble between Sarah Palins peeps and those of Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is quite entertaining. Not that we didnt see this coming. Months ago, Bachmann bumped Palin as Tea Party queen. But now that Bachmann is this close to jumping into the race for the Republican nomination for president and Palin is pretending to think about doing same but we all know she wont the gloves are coming off in earnest.
Jennifer Rubin raises some good points about the wisdom of Bachmann hiring Ed Rollins. Shes fresh; hes not, Rubin writes. Shes anti-Beltway; he personifies it. Shes disciplined; and hes shown hes not. And Rubin points out why Rollinss slam of Palin as not serious might not have been the smartest move.
This was dumb on multiple levels including (in no particular order): 1) it took the focus off his boss; 2) it will offend voters who are Bachmanns natural constituency; and 3) it plays into the sexist Palin v. Bachmann! match-up that his boss has tried to downplay.
But heres why an attack on Palin is a safe and potentially beneficial move on Bachmanns part.

As the Pollster.com graph shows, Palins national political standing has been all downhill since her splashy debut in September 2008. The latest Post-ABC News poll, released this week, only adds to Palins negative momentum:

Hey, it’s Capeheart. He’s a socialist. No one with a mind, cares what this person writes.
Rollins attack against Palin means he thinks she’s the only one that can raise his clients profile by attacking.
I’d say the best way to handle the Bachmann problem is to completely ignore it. Just go on with business as though it doesn’t exist.
Capehart! A light-in-the-loafers lib puke machine. Don’t these pukes ever give it a rest? What an imbecile!
One of the messages is mine!
I’m looking for a candidate who is not afraid to fight the media, the far left fringe, and especially the anti-American communist in our White House.
I have no opinion of Bachman one way or another. I think less of her for having chosen Rollins because I have never thought much of him. He’s simply a “pro” who has worked campaigns for people in the GOP. I don’t know that there’s anything particularly Conservative about him.
Michelle Bachmann makes me sick!!!
Capehart is a homo fag
Bachmann = Romney.
MB is simply white trash at this point
When I see her on tv I just cringe.
I suspect her fundraising figures are showing an equally measurable change, unless somebody with really big dollars promised to make up for the loss.
