GM is having a very tough time recovering even with taxpayer dollars and this turkey of a CEO wants to increase gas taxes. Akerson and Obama both need to go.

He thinks we're obliged to purchase government-motors vehicles.
Wanna bet?

Does this moron think anyone will buy new cars when they have even less money?

He’s good for GM. People might really see what is happening if he keeps up this crap. I’ve got 140,000 miles on my car ... needing a new one soon. GM, Chrysler ... not even thinking twice about it. But how many more people would still buy one or gas at Citgo? However, as the leader of the Tea Party, people will follow! :-)

Akerson came to GM from the U.S. Treasury.
It shows.

"...as gas is going to go down here now, we ought to just slap a 50-cent or a dollar tax on a gallon of gas."
He's dreaming. It's going back up, and he'll probably see $5 gas before the politicians have time to "slap" the extra tax on each gallon. Big government's desperate, and so are the big business constituents who control it. Their government-funded family members will be laid off to rule their roosts instead of ours soon enough, along the way to default.

People will start buying more Cruzes and they will start buying less Suburbans. Nice grammar there, Mr. CEO.
