Maybe I’m giving her too much credit, but I would not put it past Ed Rollins to have waited for the opportune moment to start this mess. Has anyone seen Michele? Perhaps Rollins knew she would be incommunicado for a while and would not be able to respond promptly.
I don’t know. But I know what she must do very soon. There can be absolutely no equivocating on her part. If she starts talking about all’s fair in politics, she’s history.
You can almost hear him telling MB all he can do for her, building her up, comparing her to Palin, making her feel empowered.
She hired him for EXACTLY his strategy against Palin.
She has plenty of Facebook posts since this fiasco and nothing related to it. No retractions.

I went to the kitchen to cook while I watched Chef Ramsay’s new show *Master Chef* so I think I’ll finish watching it while I eat, and return at the top of the hour in time for Hannity.

I looked at her facebook account and all I could find was one post she made 10 hours ago. There are plenty of other people with facebook posts though. One particular idiot is making things worse by gloating and chastising Palin supporters. This does not look good at all. It is very petty and it makes Michele look like a small and petty person. I think there are people working to destroy Michele. I admit I have never been her number one supporter but I do support all real conservative candidates. I believed Michele was one. Until I see what her response is to all this, I will continue to assume that someone is working to harm her.
Ed Rollins mouth may be big but it’s not big enough to do anything to Sarah Palin. But he and these other so called campaign staff workers can bring Michele down.
If these two women get into a cat fight, I'll be pissed, and I'll tell each one of them that I going to vote for the other.

Much of the criticism of Michele here is quite juvenile and self-destructive. Sometimes I think some conservatives just don’t want to win.
Sarah campaigned for Michele last cycle. They are not enemies.
I wish some of the cut-throat cannibals here would take a deep breath and consider what would be Michele’s motive to attack Sarah at this point? Neither are even declared and Sarah is pushing coy to the limits regarding whether she ever will.
If Palin never does declare, then Michele would be the likely first pick for her to support: past personal campaign support, TEA party mates, both strong women with great personal stories, both VERY conservative.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I consider Rollins a mistake too. But I’m not throwing out my photo of Reagan because his old employee voiced the same things about Sarah as has much of the establishment GOP.
No question Michele has an Ed problem all of a sudden. If Bachmann told him to say those things I’d be shocked. If she doesn’t get rid of or publicly whip him, I’ll be disappointed. And it will weigh heavily on my voting decisions.
When Michele formally declares this month, she will be THE candidate most closely tied to the TEA party movement. Right now there are roughly ZERO TEA party presidential campaign managers/advisers out there in the market to choose from. Michele is suffering somewhat from TEA bigotry despite being the most hard-working, unswerving supporter of the movement in the national government.
Some TEA folk are so silly that they refuse to acknowledge or support any national figures. The party itself, for some, is apparently the goal. Legislating and presiding are things for Washington insiders to do, not we TEA folk. We just bitch.
But I wonder, if Sarah never makes a commitment, and Michele ends up being the last TEA survivor against Mitt McCain by the time primaries roll around to the states of these FR jackals, who will they vote for?
Very well said. I have followed Sarah AND MIchele and I know that they respect one another. I canNOT see Michele approving of a spokesperson trashing ANY other candidate!
She has criticized many of the RINOS but has always done so in a dignified manner. This is just not typical of her.
If she runs and Sarah doesn’t, she probably has my vote because she IS the more conservative of the lot so far.
She will always have critics just as Sarah does......
Cynic that I am (I’m a veteran of the DukeLax Frame), I’m not discounting the possibility that Bachmann may have been put into the race by the Rove/Mittens/RINO combine with an eye toward pulling votes away from Palin.
The hiring of Rollins to serve as an attack sock-puppet makes the theory even more likely.
I’m absolutely convinced that is what happened with the Fred Thompson thing in 2008. His role was to keep conservatives uncommitted and off-balance, then pull out after it was too late to coalesce around another conservative.
He performed exactly as he was supposed to.
