Al Qaeda? E-Coli Breakout in Germany Appears "Bio-Engineered" to Produce Maximum Human Fatalities

Even as the veggie blame game is now under way across the EU, where a super resistant strain of e.coli is sickening patients and filling hospitals in Germany, virtually no one is talking about how e.coli could have magically become resistant to eight different classes of antibiotic drugs and then suddenly appeared in the food supply.

This particular e.coli variation is a member of the O104 strain, and O104 strains are almost never (normally) resistant to antibiotics. In order for them to acquire this resistance, they must be repeatedly exposed to antibiotics in order to provide the "mutation pressure" that nudges them toward complete drug immunity.

But other than Pollyanna idiots like Obama, who would be surprised if Al Qaeda or other terrorists (Gaddafi has truck Germany before) were behind this seemingly-orchestrated crisis? 

Two years ago, an entire cell of 40 Al Qaeda terrorists in Algeria when they contracted the Black Death plague while developing bio-potions to inflict on us infidels. The idea that AQ could behind this wasn't lost on the MI-6... already the British government warns that terrorists could be planning biological attacks through the UK food distribution system.

Stay tuned... this doesn't look good, with already 22 dead and over 2000 affected and facing kidney failure in Germany...

It doesn’t need to be purposefully engineered to have mutated this way. We have already seen this type of resistance found in MSRA where the exposure to all of our anti-bacterial products have produced a resistant strain through simple evolution.

It's not evolution ~ bacteria have a quite natural but otherwise complex immune response. Plus, they aren't really the "solitary critters" we imagine. They are social and love to get together to pass internal juices around, then there are the ones that actually live in BACTERIAL MATS.

Wash/peel your fresh fruit and vegetables. Note that just peeling without washing first doesn't help, it just slices the little @#$%ers down into the part you're going to eat. Cooking kills them too...

Not really. All they need is to encounter other bacteria carrying some kind of resistance, and then mate with them. Through the laws of chance alone, bacteria resistant to one kind of antibiotic can meet bacteria resistant to another antibiotic, and when they mate, the result is a bacteria resistant to both antibiotics. (Bacterial mating results in the transfer of DNA; they do not reproduce by mating.) With enough such encounters, bacteria can pick up several antibiotic resistance genes.
