One of the BIGGEST MARIST LIES out there is that “character” does not matter (nail in coffin( oral sex scandal) where it removed it from public concern to make way for perverts to say their behaviors had no relationship to what they do at work).
Why? It is so communist/atheists/homosexuals would not be accountable for their disgusting behaviors and they could convince people that they are “good” people although their actions would demean relationships and prove they were dysfunctional or evil. Their habituation in private of dysfunctional behaviors undermine the ability to do virtuous, good things. If you think of yourself and your lust all the time, you never think of others and their needs unless it can benefit yourself.
All the Founders (wake up Libertarians) said that Virtue was necessary for a free society—people who are not virtuous hurt others and need to be controlled to protect people (all through government control, of course.)

Habituation of any action , if it is demeaning to human life and is selfish, destructive, nihilistic and encourages more vice (addiction) will create selfish, inhumane, people. Selfish people raise awful children unless there is intervention.
Our schools are set up by cultural Marxists (Bill Ayers-type) to destroy morality in the public schools through Sex Ed and materials that deconstruct and destroy the heros of the culture (demean them so kids know all people do evil things and they will too. Make them NOT desire to strive to great heights.). Sex Ed takes morality out of the sex act...makes it meaningless and just a commodity (to be sold) which demeans human life since sex is such a powerful, life-giving force.
Sex Ed trivializes the acts....exposes immature children to the ideas which make no sense emotionally, so their response in public schools is ridicule and derision and make fun of each other. Trivializes the most fundamental aspect of relationships between men and women. It also gives schools the power to redirect the object of their sexual interest, which is being formed—to pervert their nature. More chance of deviance since no moral constrictions.
Romance and mystery and respect are removed from the sex act at 5 with “public Sex Ed” which intentionally deconstruct the “belief system” (the infirm one they have, since most parents work and leave it to TV to form character which is a big joke. ).
Worldview is everything....if it doesn’t value all human beings...it is one that can ignite gas ovens. Valuing others, takes virtue. It is formed when you are young==don’t allow Marxists to get the minds of your children.
The only way to have civil societies and economies (Libertarians!) that work is to have a virtuous citizenry. Can’t have good economies with moral relativism that doesn’t end up in a bribe system like Tammany Hall.
The Founders knew this....they knew that power corrupts and corruption destroys civil society...that is why all the restraint of government which is ALWAYS EVIL (force) and the balance of power.
It’s funny....I’m a Libertarian, but I can’t stand my fellow Libertarians. I never vote Libertarian, (I will only vote for a Conservative Republican. If none are available, I abstain.) and my opinion of Ron Paul and his Paulistas have sunk to a new low.
