When It Comes to Governor Palin, Not Knowing Isn’t Not Happening

In an article for the Washington Examiner Byron York writes:
The bottom line is Sarah Palin is not going to run for president, says a Republican adviser close to front-runner Mitt Romney. Shes making money, shes moved on, shes kind of an entertainer rather than a politician. She still has some sway with the grass roots, but she is not going to run.
I dont think shes going to run, says a Republican close to Tim Pawlenty. She has faded a lot in the last few months. I look at what shes doing now and say that shes found a way to get back in the story.
[...]
Watch what she has done, says the Republican close to Romney. Has she contacted one major donor across the country about putting together an organization? Has she talked to one member of the Republican National Committee about working for a campaign, or one governor, or one former governor about working for a campaign? The answer is no.
This is just an example of the many commentators and pundits who argue that Governor Palin isnt running. Their reasoning? She isnt doing anything and she hasnt called anyone.
There is of course one problem with this argument; just because people dont know if Governor Palin is calling or talking to anyone, doesnt necessarily mean she isnt talking to anyone.
The Republican close to Romney is wondering whether Governor Palin has contacted anyone or put up an organization. Wouldnt you like to know? Of course you would. But Governor Palin doesnt want you to know, so she isnt talking to the people who would run and tell you as soon as they hang up the phone with her.
This week Governor Palin has announced the release of a documentary and a bus tour. Both of those required time and manpower to put together.
Films dont produce themselves and buses dont paint themselves, yet all the people involved knew how to keep their mouths shut, and as a result nothing leaked; no one knew until the moment Governor Palin wanted us to know.
So, Governor Romney, Governor Pawlenty, let me break it to you: Youre not going to know anything, who shes talking to and how shes organizing, until Governor Palin wants you to know. And when that happens; youll all be grinding your teeth and bitting your lips wondering, how the heck did we miss that?

Wonder if they are trying to convince themselves or the donors who may be sitting on their wallet until she does decide...

Tell you what, BTM - if she runs, it’s going to be a run like we’ve never seen. Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” may not be her theme song but it will be her style. She sees things differently, thinks differently, and for darn sure isn’t going to live her life by what some pollster or pundit thinks.

I love the organizational discipline.
On the other hand although Mrs Bachmann has been a solid voice for conservatives, her staff is full of a bunch of adolescent bedwetters who can't wait to run their favorite media hack with the next "secret".

Evening BTM. People aren't going to know when she gets dropped from Fox News either. When she is interviewed, the introduction will just drop "Fox News Contributor".
Bet me.

Bachmann must be hard to work for, She;s on her fourth Chief of Staff and she;s only been in Congress since 2007.

I took a look at her legislative history. Very thin legislative resume. 17, 22 and 7 bills introduced. None have become law (that I could see). On a minimum number of committees. Hasn't been elevated to any sort of leadership position within the party. Apparently she is not much easier to work with and is view by her colleagues as a back bench bomb thrower.

Strategically, I was glad Palin went invisible for a while... but when I heard she wasn’t running, I knew it was rumor. If she decided not to run, it would be headline news.
As much as I like Herman Cain, Sarah has a great chance and I think she’ll play it perfectly. There’s no one like her.

I’ve never seen so many big cheesy men on pins and needles to know what Sarah Palin is going to do! It does ones heart good to see them having to hold themselves and wait. The all powerful elite slobs...those guys just nixxed off the wrong woman! She doesn’t give a flying flip what they think.

Yep, I predicted late last year that if Palin run.
.....Conclusion: Sarah Palin has an unprecedented level of support from the grassroots (average person) unmatched by anybody in recent memory. It is yet undetermined what will happen once she announces officially to run for President but by these numbers in her PAC, we may witness one of the biggest if not the biggest groundswell of Conservative grassroots movements in support of Sarah Palin.

No doubt, Beanie. Just gives America a chance to get used to her setting the agenda for the next 10 years, 1.5 of campaigning, and 8 in the big chair.

Palin learned a lot about the disloyalty and back-stabbing ways of Establishment operatives back in 2008, just as she’s learned about the media. With that knowledge, she’s going totally guerilla mode, and will drive much of the political elites into self-destructing mental fits. She KNOWS their weak spots.

I strongly suspect the success of her campaign will depend upon her keeping the DC denizens as far away form her as possible.

She sure as heck doesn’t need an Obama Doctrine question from the lame ass media. He has one, and it is to ruin US exceptionalnism. He has no doctrine other to bring us in-line with failed states.
