On my radio show yesterday, I used vile and inappropriate language when talking about talk show host Laura Ingraham. I am deeply sorry, and I apologize. It was wrong, uncalled for and I recognize the severity of what I said. I apologize to you, Laura and ask for your forgiveness. It doesn't matter what the circumstances were. It doesn't matter that it was on radio and I was ad libbing. none of that matters. none of that matters. What matters is what I said was terribly vile and not of the standards that I or any other person should adhere to. I want all of you to know tonight that I did call Laura Ingraham today and did not make contact with her and I will apologize to her as i did in the message that I left her today.
I also met with management here at MSNBC, and understanding the severity of the situation and what I said on the radio and how it reflected terribly on this company, I have offered to take myself off the air for an indefinite period of time with no pay. I want to apologize to Laura Ingraham. I want to apologize to my family, my wife. I have embarrassed my family. I have embarrassed this company.
And I have been in this business since 1978, and I have made a lot of mistakes. This is the lowest of low for me. I stand before you tonight in front of this camera in this studio in an environment that I absolutely love....

Truth overload... liberal brains will hang, need a hard restart, come up flashing, alternating, “It’s Bush’s fault” and “Hope and Change”.
Need to disconnect the little battery in their neck to reset PROM.
A rare apology apology sans the usual “if I offended anyone” weaselyness. Course it looks like it was the price his bosses demanded of him to ever get back on the air but....
Typical lib.....
Make the heinous accusation on air, and then “repent and apologize”.
It’s out there-—the damage is done.
FUES.
I agree. I thought a real apology was a lost art.
I have to agree. It isn’t like he simply said “I apologize” and left it at that or said “If you were offended, I’m sorry.” He actually went out of his way to admit how really low his comment was. I can respect that.
Gross. Now I need a shower.
“Liberals never back down and apologize like that.”
Correct, but they are the greatest of liars. He’s only doing this to keep his job.
How will he afford his Cow Pie Pizza?
Yeah right Mr. Schultz. I don’t believe a word of it. This is what he really wanted to say:
“My boss called me into the office and told me I WILL apologize on air or my big, fat rear end would be out on the street. What I said was a bad reflection on the company. I can’t afford to lose my job. My wife will kick me out of the house. She says I’m a big fat embarrassment to her and the entire family. She said I’d better get my fat tail on the air asap even get on my knees and beg if need be to keep bringing home the bacon. So, I’m sorry I let my vile comments slip out on the air. I’ve been in this business since 1978. I don’t know how to do anything else. I couldn’t get a job at a hamburger joint... So, I’m sorry if I offended you.”
The marxist snake is compounding his evil with yet another lie!
You’re not wrong.
Schultz sincerely apologized?! Are you kidding? How can ultra liberals, "progressives" do a one-eighty after decades and decades of maligning their enemies?
If the "progressives" are contemplating reciprocation as a way for getting right wingers fired.. well it's already been done.
Right wing hosts have been fired by the score. Lately for being "mean" to radical Muslims -- emphasis on RADICAL like the bunch that want to kill us. That's FIRED! not suspended.
The headline here is the MSM is starting to feel the economic effects (read: advertisements) of unchecked slander.
The subheadline is a liberal appologized.
But I’m not convinced he did it on his own. There seemed to be a nuance of a producer holding a shotgun aimed at his head off-camera.
I’m sure his bosses wrote it and forced him to read it.
But looking exclusively at the form it is a real apology and those are rare these days. That’s all I’m saying.
A true Schadenfreude moment.
Hey Ed, you’re the real slut and you know it.
I don’t know, if you’ve seen Ed’s show; he’s not very intelligent, but he is more genuine & down-to-earth than most liberals (in the media).
I could see him vamping over a three-hour show, saying something ridiculous like that in an attempt to be “cutting-edge” or “real”, & then (as even many of his liberal friends are criticizing him) think “I really made a complete fool of myself”.
PS- I agree w/ others that many things said about Bush/other conservatives is/was technically worse. But that’s the general rule in our society.......
If you call Obama a traitor or a communist, probably nothing will happen to you. If you say something that’s perceived as racial, you may be fired.
It is a good day when a turd like "lard a$$" gets PWNED by the boss (Comcast).
I’ve just read that Jane Fonda told NBC to suspend Schultz for a week and that’s what just they did. Sad state of the fourth estate.
He's just groveling to try and save his job. He's such a complete phony he can do it without batting an eyelash.
This isn’t scrappleface is it?
