welcome back to the south , wish you had come to the north east FL though as we need your votes here in this state due to the snowbirds form liberal la la land.
welcome
I was told that a local radio talk shown host was promoting the Tea party millionaire fraud non stop.
Frankly , the GOP killed the base morale with Bonehead not stopping Obamacare in the Pelosi BUDGET !
He is a disaster and needs to GO.
Bonehead is a K street darling and they want Obamacare !
Yes, the NE Dems who destroyed their home moved to FL to recreate the nightmare and the Dems from Dade, Broward , and Palm Beach keep moving to Sarasota ,Ft Myers etcc and to screw it up too.
Voters gave the GOP the House last November because voters expected that the GOP would take IMMEDIATE and CONCRETE action on pushing back the insane and out of control growth of the government, especially entitlements.
The GOP, including Ryan, are doing EXACTLY what the voters put them in office to do.
Yet you're complaining about it and saying the GOP should be reneging on the promises they made to the voters in November for political gain. If they did that, where would the voters turn after they were lied to yet once again.
Direct your anger at Democrats, not at Republicans who are walking the walk and talking the talk we expected them to do when we voted for them.
This is the time when leadership is crucial and doing what is right MUST be done. Politics as usual is taking this nation the way of Greece.
I'll take 100 Paul Ryans any day rather than a bunch of mealy mouthed, sleazeball demagogues who only care about getting re-elected.
“Medicare scare tactics which will be repeated in every congressional race in the country in the next election so the GOP better be ready to counter it.”
The GOP already has the counter and they are not using it. It is not demagoguery to repeatedly focus on how unserious the dems are about fixing the problems. Barry’s lack of cuts and fairy tale “budget”, over 700 days without a senate budget, etc., etc.
McConnell should be blasting his “good friends across the aisle” at every opportunity. Boehner should refuse to extend the debt ceiling beyond Dec 31st under any circumstances and make it a central Presidental campaign issue.
But instead these beltway RINO’s are tip toeing toward disaster in 2012.
way I look at it
the Dems are like locusts .
They ruin an area.
They then ruin their new area.
They make it look like their old area.
They then move on again to do the same thing.
It is based out of ignorance here in this state.
They are old union hacks, “I’ve always voted Dem” or just “I like JFK” like my MIL.
The only place where my state is Dem is the south east where illegals etc and snowbirds moved to.
Thankfully I’m in the north east
BTW WELCOME back to the south
Stuidass Davis threw it to Hochul buy claiming to be a ‘tea party’ candidate
I bet he got a otn of democrap funding
no you miss the point, the voters wanted cuts but for crying our loud ask a old person if they want medicare cutting and the answer is no
Think about it.
The Dems never put a budget, why? Because they they’re smart.
We were thinking after the win we had it and we never did ,.
Hell even a kid can understand this
This is not about what you or I want this is about getting power and there is the problem.
WE have to get the word out and then call them out and then get power to pass laws .
Is it true she doesn’t even live in the district?
There is a reason the young people are fleeing the state of New York.
These clowns won because they said they would stand up to Barry and his radical pals and stop Obamacare !
They caved and now morale is low !
Giving the Dems a huge target like the Ryan budget with no GOP non stop PR attack or PR talent and having a wimp leader like Bonehead is the making of a huge mess. Your theory is great but we have zero PR talent and K street darling/wimp as our leader. We need another Hammer but with some PR media talent !
So now we see how the ‘12 election will go and not one official screams - something and wrong and bring focus to it. The ‘rats probably think how easy this is now all set for ‘12.
Democrats, who are supposedly the masters of PR, spent a year touting all the wonderful benefits of Obamacare. They had the bully pulpit with Obama. They had control of Congress. They have control of the traditional media.
Yet, despite that huge advantage, people never did and still don’t like Obamacare. That was one of the main reasons so many Democrats were tossed out on their cans last Nov.
Why wasn’t the Dem unparallelled PR push for Obamacare successful?
I think in part it had to do with the GOP PR response to it as well as the impact of conservative media.
If the GOP had zero PR talent, then why aren’t we overwhelmingly loving Obamacare?
I could make the same case for TARP and Porkulus which Democrats PR’d to death, yet the people overwhelmingly opposed them.
It will take time to bring people on board regarding entitlement reform, but you have to start somewhere because it MUST be done and the window of time when it can be done without major upheaval is growing smaller and smaller.
Very true.
I am more than tired of FR people blaming the GOP for every evil thing the Democrats too.
It's getting very wearisome.
“Medicare.
The American people are just not yet ready to deal with entitlements.”
Exactly right. Entitlements are like an addiction. Very few people can break an addiction voluntarily. Medicare will remain as it is until it goes broke on its own. Politicians will be scared stiff after watching NY-26 and Mediscare.
If you think people will voluntarily give up cash flowing into their pockets from the federal government, I am afraid it is not reality. A very small percentage would, but not 95% of them.
You could well be right. It is possible that reform of these entitlements is simply impossible. They may just have to go broke before we can do anything about them. This loss in NY-26 will certainly cause a lot of conservatives to draw this conclusion.
Changes will come when the young people wake up and start seeing that servitude is down the road for them.
The young adults in my family already know this, but they understand economics and Ponzi schemes.
Once the young people start rising up in arms against the old people, politicians will have to make a choice. And those politicians-like today’s Democrats, esp. Obama-who played politics and fiddled while Rome burned will be blamed.
The wake up call over Medicare will come sooner than when it affects “young” people. In just 10-12 years Medicare could be bankrupt along with the federal Treasury, if we continue at current pace. But most Americans rarely look at the long term.
