The Palins have reportedly purchased a lovely desert home in North Scottsdale, firing rumors of a presidential run, a go at Kyl's Senate seat, among other things. To me, I'm not sure that means she's running... it's a long flight from the Lower 48 to AK, and she's got endless business down here.
A local site ArizonaCentral reported that a just-closed deal on a secluded luxury home in far north Scottsdale might be the Palins making a secretive buy, and it seems this is the one.
It's an 8,000-square-foot, dark-brown stucco home with a guard gate with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, a swimming pool and spa, and a full basement with a home theater, billiards room and wine cellar.
Safari Investments LLC paid $1.695 million cash for the home in a deal that appears designed to cloak the identity of a high-profile buyer.
Safari Investments is a Delaware limited liability firm formed May 12, the day before the deal for the Scottsdale home closed. No officers are listed on the Delaware filing, and that state doesn't require the names of individual associated with limited liability companies to be disclosed. High-profile people often buy homes through LLCs to maintain their privacy.
Alan Kierman, an attorney with the Phoenix law firm of Mack Drucker & Watson, is listed on property records as the contact for Safari Investments. Asked point blank by The Arizona Republic if Palin and her husband Todd Palin bought the north Scottsdale house through the company, Kierman said he had no comment.

I hope it offers her some peace from all the BS she has to endure from the Marxist punk media.

How long before the Bin Laden compound jokes start...

She wouldn't. For starters in conflicts with her stated goal of removing Obie from office in 2012.
Why Scottsdale?
IMO, it has something to do with Mayo Clinic and Barrows at St Josephs in Phoenix for Trig.

It still ticks me off that the media complained about Sarah’s “expensive” wardrobe and Michelle runs around on our dime like the Queen of Sheeba.

look at the inside of the house, it looks great. For a desert house design, it look pretty good, but I can see a potential of very high maintenance cost to keep the lawn green. If you look at the google map, the property didn’t look this green or have a pool, so its new

Typical desert landscaping. Most folks in AZ might have a small green patch in the backyard....but otherwise, it’s all desert-like scenery.
My bet is the senate seat. She knows 2012 is Obama’s year to win, and I would speculate that she’s looking more for 2016.

In what part of Phoenix did Bristol buy? I want to move to Phoenix too but I don’t think I can afford Scottsdale.

IMHO, no matter how much money or how big and beautiful the house you build in a desert, it's still a crummy desert! Of course I'm pretty spoiled living here on Maui with really beautiful homes on or near the ocean with palm trees and a Mai Tai close by, blue cool oceans and sandy beaches with year round mild weather.

I LOVE Palin- but she might feel she’s had too much media damage, a term in the Senate would do much to disprove those who slandered her as an “idiot” and such
It’s shocking to me how many Republicans even are resistant to a Palin run this time... got to admit, the character assassin SCUM of the old guard media really did a job on her
By 2016, Sen Palin could have set all that on it’s ear... the WH waiting. And Arizona’s a GREAT seat for her, they’ll freaking love her
imho Bachmann would be the Palin surrogate in the presidential race, if you will

Just way to bleak for the old Cajun's sensibilities.
Been in the Midland and Odessa Texas areas for the oil field services company I used to work for, old Cajun knows bleakness when he sees it :^)

Considering how bad the economy is, Obama should be pretty weak in 2012. What happens if a Republican wins against Obama in 2012? In that case, Sarah will be facing a Republican incumbent in 2016. Is she going to wait until 2020 to run? The US needs her now.

The photos at the link show a beautiful house with a lush lawn and a huge pool. The interior photos reveal an awesome house beyond comparison. Arizona’s deserts are beautiful. The entire state is very photogenic. The only thing I did not like are the barbed stickers from some of those plants. Some will go right through a leather shoe. Ouch!

Nice hut.
Can’t buy anything like that in California for the money she paid.
Good for her.
