The dogs will appreciate the change in scenery, I’m sure. hopefully, this place is up a few thousand feet.. so Sarah can say ‘You can see the border from my gazebo.’ ;-)
She couldn't run in 2016. One word "quitter!"
Leave it to the media to have everything backassward.
Zooming in a little closer it is very near the corner of E. Via Dona Rd. and North 82nd St which is the intersection at the bottom and just left of center in the snapshot below. Image is from Google Maps and shows a little wider area than those previously posted.
“How long before the Bin Laden compound jokes start...
My thoughts exactly.”
You think Obama will send the SEALs in?
It’s interesting to see the comments about this house. Especially since I could just about walk to it from mine, (not in the summer, mind you) which is also here in Scottsdale but not nearly as grand.
What you don’t really see is, although it looks very secluded, it really isn’t. Living here, she is within 10 minutes of the Scottsdale Airpark and 30 minutes of PHX Sky Harbor. Within 10 minutes she can be at some of the best hotels and restaurants in the coutry, and is surrounded by world class hospitals, like Mayo and Phoenix Childrens.
Also, you’ll have to trust me when I tell you..I’ve lived east, west and north..nothing beats this place. The sunsets are pink and purple. The desert grows on you.
For those of you who think it’s just a wasteland, you may want to consider exactly why we host the Barrett Jackson auction, some of the most prestigious golf ternaments, and have people of Palin’s caliber all around us. Don’t let the sparce vegatation fool you. There’s more palm trees here than sand. Come take a look!
Conservatives are always welcome.
Who said that was a demotion? Lots of governors run for Congress.
We moved here two years ago. The family loves the area, and the people are WONDERFUL compared to the transient populace of South Florida.
There are governors and there are governors.
Actually, there have even been ex-presidents in Congress. John Quincy Adams served in the House after the White House. Andrew Johnson served in the US Senate, after that very body had unfortunately failed by one vote to remove him from the White House.
And then, of course, there was the enormous William Howard Taft, who was appointed Chief Justice in 1921 by Harding, after having been president from 1909-1913.
Video of the house from late August 2009, when it was half-renovated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkxNgR5rEsc
Not enough feet if it's in Scottsdale.
It only takes a couple of hours to drive from the Phoenix airport to Flagstaff. But the change in climate is extraordinary!
That’s an ugly house and so is the dead land. I guess I’m use to the green of PA. Love Sarah!
Eye of the beholder. When I first saw it, I love it. Maybe because I took into account that this is a design for the desert. It won’t have roof tiles and it won’t have alot of color and somewhat enclosed because of the dust that will quickly accumulate and cover it up
It reminds me of the Getty Museum.
She’s done exactly what I have always thought to be the *ideal* lifestyle. Summer in Alaska, winter in Arizona. Perfect.
Bet Todd liked it b/c it already came with a fence. ;D
