DUmmie FUnnies 05-22-11 (William Rivers Pitt Mocks Apocalypse Prediction)

Forgive this leap to judgment, but I have a sneaking suspicion I know just exactly what type of person goes in for this breed of apocalyptic nonsense. Let me guess: you're a Christian of the evangelical stripe, white, and your ears are forever attuned to the dog-whistles of social conservativism. You voted for George W. Bush twice, and would have happily done it a third time if given the chance. It's almost certain your whole life is caving in around your ears, and you are utterly unable to cope. You can't make the mortgage payments, your job got outsourced to somewhere, and you seethe at the presence of non-English-speaking brown people around you, even when they mow your lawn and empty your trash and serve your food. You think Rush and Beck sit at the right hand of God, and you've been voting Republican ever since Ronald Reagan invited Jerry Falwell to the White House. You are a follower, an adorer of authority in all its permutations. You smell like fear.

I cannot believe how incredibly stupid you are. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. Stupid, so stupid it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. You are trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. You emit more stupid in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid. Your writing has to be a troll. Nothing in our universe can really be this stupid. Perhaps this is some primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know. I’m sorry. I can’t go on. This is an epiphany of stupid for me.

I would love to meet Pitt in a bar, and let him experience what fear really smells like.
It’s bad enough that he’s a little girly man wuss, but to be ignorant on top of it. Lethal combination.
And someone said he was a Bouncer at Burkowski’s? No evidence of that from what I’ve seen, and certainly no proof in any demonstration of intellect.

Wonder how Pitt will enjoy rotting in the hellfire he is bringing upon himself.

I don't want anyone to rot in hell, not even a hate-filled pseudo-Christian DUmmy who mocks our Lord Jesus Christ's own words about His 2nd coming. A human being condemned to the eternal fires of hell is something far too horrible to contemplate, but God's infallible Word forces us to. I'm not in charge of humanity's eternal living conditions, but the One who is in charge often spoke about the matter in no uncertain terms almost 20 centuries ago.

Most people today, even bible believing Christians, attempt to make Jesus' warnings about the reality of hell less horrifying by trying to convince themselves that hell isn't a real, palpable place of eternal fire somewhere in limitless space where unredeemed men and women in tangible resurrected bodies are tormented for timeless eternity with no hope of death to end their suffering. God used symbolic language in many bible passages, but not those concerning the eternal abode of mankind. Jesus' account (not a parable) of the real, actual, flesh and blood rich man and Lazarus didn't leave any room for speculation about the reality of hell fire, either it's real or Jesus fibbed, and that's impossible.

It's either heaven's bliss or hell's torment, there are no merely uncomfortable in-between zones. If the eternal fire of hell is just a symbol for an eternal toothache or perhaps a smelly jail cell with no air conditioning, what does the rapturous joy of heaven symbolize, spending eternity with a bottomless carton of Bluebell Cookies 'N Cream and a spoon?

In another words, he is not a Christian by any definition that counts.

Exactly, much to my regret. As I said earlier, I don't want anyone to go to hell, but I didn't make the rules.

A "good moral life" won't get a "good" person who spurns God's offer of full pardon through faith in His Son's blood atonement even a minute off his or her sentence of eternal punishment. Jesus didn't die to make us good moral people, although we certainly should be if we profess to be Christians. He died in our place to atone for our sin, and His perfect righteousness is put to our account by faith in Him alone, not by any good works that we can do.

Ro 10:9 "If thou shalt confess the Lord Jesus with thy mouth,(IOW accept Him as Master over your life) and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved".

I don't have a bible handy to give the exact quote, but that's the gist of the verse.
