They’re a bunch of lying morons anyway. During the mexican American war, “mexicans” in this country chose to become Americans. Troops didn’t even show up in California till more than a week after the locals declared themselves independent of Mexico.
In fact, from my reading of history, American troops encountered very little resistance from mexicans throughout most of what is northern mexico today.
We should have kept all of it and placed the northern border of Mexico about 100 miles north of Mexico city.
The situation in California is a lot like Israel and the Pali’s.
There was nothing there. No people.
The “valleys” of California were basically wastelands.
American immigrants—Europeans—transformed the California valleys into massive food production areas.
And the Mexicans think we owe them that?
Screw them. And the donkey they rode in on.
