Possible Orly Taitz Website Virus

I visited Orly Taitz’ website yesterday to catch up on any news re the various court proceedings she is involved in and immediately a pop-up appeared asking if I wanted to run a script. I closed the browser without responding. Thereafter, everything on my desktop disappeared, the Task Manager was disabled and many important applications were wiped out. This was on my work computer and I had to get an IT guy to look at the PC. It took nearly 4 hours to restore everything. The IT guy said that if it was a personal computer, the machine would have been almost destroyed.
The most probable culprit is democrat operatives who DO NOT want the public learning about Ms. Taitz and the serious fraud allegations she is making about obama.
I just wanted to post this so that others from FR will be careful when visiting her website. Hopefully, Ms. Taitz will do the necessary to protect her site and its visitors but for now I won’t be able to visit her site until a remedy is in place.

I've seen power supplies go bad, hard drives fail, but have never seen a virus or malware that can physically destroy a hard drive.
I had one from a relative recently where they had let their anti-virus software expire and found 134 Trojans, malware and viruses that had dragged it down to about nonfunctional and was able to clean it up without reloading the OS and managed saved all data.(Took me about 7 hours before I was satisfied it was clean)
I have my doubts (along with other tech guys I know) that a virus could actually physically destroy a hard drive.

I am aware there might be a number of reasons, but my virus protection is up to date...and if you read the post I repeated by another freeper, the same thing happened to them just recently in exactly the same way...after accessing the Orly Taitz website.
What’s done is done, I am not blaming anyone, but I DO suggest that documents with links to that website be removed from FR. I would NOT want anyone else to experience what I have, nor bear the cost.
I am about as non-tech a person as could be and still know how to type on a computer, but could something like this be a possibility:
Bad people lurk on her site using gadgetry and gizmos to look for certain people viewing the site and then infiltrate those particular targeted computers? Maybe the computers of people who have recently visited FR?
So it’s not exactly a regular virus, but hackers/lurkers haunting Orly’s site looking for victims, so to speak?
...or people who link to her website while still logged on to FR?
Makes me feel most uncomfortable, I can tell you.
I wish a real tech person would think about this or take a look or something.
