The different size pixels that make up the two different signatures could not occur in a single scan of an original document. This is prima facie evidence of fraud.

That's simply not true. Once again, this is an effect of an enhanced scan. I pulled up a PDF scan from Google Books (in this case, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) and saw the exact same thing you claim is evidence of fraud.

Most likely, one signature, or part of the signature, was lighter and didn't get enhanced during the scan.

I guess it would have been nice if you gave a link to where you got this image from. And also if you maybe provided more than the little image you did.

I did go and find a Google pdf of AiW. It's pretty obvious to me that Google has done postprocessing on the text. All of the letters are a true black and fully formed.

The book I looked at has at least a few line drawings which are much more like signatures to any software Google might use. I'd be much more impressed if you found an example of multiple pixelation in one of the drawings.
